About

Oakcreek Country Club is situated amongst Sedona's red rock mountains, providing unique scenery throughout. Opened over 40 years ago, it is Sedona's first golf course. The course was a collaboration between Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and his son. It is a classic, player-friendly layout that offers plenty of room for error. There are also several opportunities to recover errant shots incorporated into the design. Despite its forgiving nature, the golf course definitely has its challenges. There are tree-lined fairways with bunkers strategically positioned in the landing areas and elevated greens bordered by large, swirling bunkers. Three lakes also come into play on five holes. Oakcreek Country Club requires accuracy as well as length in order to score well. Next to the clubhouse there are extensive practice facilities including a large driving range with target areas, a practice green, putting and chipping greens, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Beautiful senery

Nice course! I played because of the location. Tee boxs,fairwaysand greens were in good condition. The only thing i diddnt care for was the sand traps. They were hard and full of water from rain. Pretty much unplayable. Overpriced in my opion but you are in Sedona.

Great value

The course was recovering from a significant wind storm with a fair amount of debris on the course but it was still well worth the cost. We had a great time and the price didn’t break the bank. The back nine is particularly impressive. Will definitely be back to play the course again.

Pretty darn good golf

Course was great. Rented some clubs. Irons were pure. Range was aight. Pretty sandy. Don’t chunk it on the range. Fairways were amazing. Bunkers were everywhere - good challenge. Coyotes were howling. Wind was also howling.

The pro let 5 some out

The pro let a five some out in front of 3 - 2 somes and they did not let people pass. I asked the ranger to do something about the 5 some and he told me the pro said it was okay. I asked the pro and he said he okayed it and sorry if it inconveniently affected my round. I work at a golf course and have never seen a pro let a five some out.

Always a good time in Sedona

My wife and I had an excellent time. It is a short drive from northern Phoenix and 20 degrees cooler.

Played with two members. It was good to get home course tips. Hitting fairways is a must, the rough is truly rough!
