Oakcreek Country Club is situated amongst Sedona's red rock mountains, providing unique scenery throughout. Opened over 40 years ago, it is Sedona's first golf course. The course was a collaboration between Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and his son. It is a classic, player-friendly layout that offers plenty of room for error. There are also several opportunities to recover errant shots incorporated into the design. Despite its forgiving nature, the golf course definitely has its challenges. There are tree-lined fairways with bunkers strategically positioned in the landing areas and elevated greens bordered by large, swirling bunkers. Three lakes also come into play on five holes. Oakcreek Country Club requires accuracy as well as length in order to score well. Next to the clubhouse there are extensive practice facilities including a large driving range with target areas, a practice green, putting and chipping greens, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Best Public Course in Sedona

While pricey, the course is in fantastic condition, great layout, tight, tree lined driving holes, and well placed bunkering, so accuracy off the tee at a premium. Practice facilities 1st rate and staff very welcoming. Greens run true and fast. Enjoyed it far more than Sedona Golf Resort.

Great staff and facility on a cold windy day

Met with two old golf friends on what may have been the coldest day of the season (spring 2024) so far. 44 high with 40mph winds. Good driving range and putting surface. The trees kept the wind down and the missed fairways were not that penalizing. Everything was is fantastic shape, not a bad spot on the fairway anywhere! Absolutely beautiful views and no one was there due to the weather so the pace of play was perfect!

The course staff was efficient and fantastic to us and the restaurant had great food and service as well.
