Oakcreek Country Club is situated amongst Sedona's red rock mountains, providing unique scenery throughout. Opened over 40 years ago, it is Sedona's first golf course. The course was a collaboration between Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and his son. It is a classic, player-friendly layout that offers plenty of room for error. There are also several opportunities to recover errant shots incorporated into the design. Despite its forgiving nature, the golf course definitely has its challenges. There are tree-lined fairways with bunkers strategically positioned in the landing areas and elevated greens bordered by large, swirling bunkers. Three lakes also come into play on five holes. Oakcreek Country Club requires accuracy as well as length in order to score well. Next to the clubhouse there are extensive practice facilities including a large driving range with target areas, a practice green, putting and chipping greens, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

This course is definitely one of my favorites in Arizona. It’s always well kept and you can’t beat the scenery. I would recommend this course 100% to anyone who hasn’t tried it, it’s totally worth the experience.

Great course and awesome views

First time in Sedona, and I brought my clubs to play golf for two days, after hiking and sight seeing for five days.

The course is in great condition, offers a good challenge to any level player, and the staff was awesome.

The Mountain views were a spectacular backdrop!

Poor Course Management

We had a 6 hour round of golf. The Marshall came by on hole #3 and then no sighting since. This is a muni level course that does not warrant an investment of this amount of time, especially for a mid day, mid week round of golf

Improved!

Played this beautiful course on many vacations. My main complaint was overbooking, especially because it's a vacation spot where so many wives and novices play. They've finally pulled back on that (10-minute, gaps) and have a starter who is careful about spacing. The course is every bit as beautiful as advertised, awesome red rocks setting. Grounds & greens are perfect. Keep it up ! Only real negative is no Gatorade or cold bottled water in the pro shop, only fountain drinks in the restaurant.

Wife and I play this course whenever we travel to Sedona, and as usual thoroughly enjoyed the day. They could use a Golf Cart refresh (haha), and they just aerated the greens the day before (so that sucked), but it was still a great day on the course.
