Oakcreek Country Club is situated amongst Sedona's red rock mountains, providing unique scenery throughout. Opened over 40 years ago, it is Sedona's first golf course. The course was a collaboration between Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and his son. It is a classic, player-friendly layout that offers plenty of room for error. There are also several opportunities to recover errant shots incorporated into the design. Despite its forgiving nature, the golf course definitely has its challenges. There are tree-lined fairways with bunkers strategically positioned in the landing areas and elevated greens bordered by large, swirling bunkers. Three lakes also come into play on five holes. Oakcreek Country Club requires accuracy as well as length in order to score well. Next to the clubhouse there are extensive practice facilities including a large driving range with target areas, a practice green, putting and chipping greens, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Great Staff

The staff here are concerned with your experience. The staff was friendly when I made the tee time. They recognized my name when I first got to the course. The starter made sure he knew my name and found me to call me to the tee. The play was slow so staff came out and had us play through a group. The course is beautiful. It is in great shape especially for April. The greens were fast but true. The scenery is incredible.

Nice course in a beautiful area

Third time playing Oakcreek and continues to be an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. Greens flawless and very quick, fairways in good shape, rough penalizes you. Tees are kind of rough but given the amount of play with different levels of player ability will accept that flaw. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only real negative is pace of play but it’s a challenging course and presents problems to high handicap players. Will definitely play again on our once or twice visit to Sedona.

This course has beautiful scenery!

I give this course a B simply because it’s way overpriced. However the condition, staff and amenities are next to none! I would play it again but at twilight rates.

The course is not as well groomed and pace was horrible compared to my experience playing in 2014 when it was a private club. Overall it is still a beautiful golf course with some nice challenges

Oak Creek is Eldorado, pure gold.

A slice of Paradise in the heart of AZ. All the beauty of AZ without the blistering heat of the valley. Worth the drive for sure, then go have a great dinner at one of Lisa Dahl's phenomenal restaurants in Sedona. The perfect day.

Good day at oakcreek

i really enjoyed the course. it was not easy but no so hard that you couldn't enjoy. the greens were lightning fast so you probably need to play it a few times to get usedto the speed.
