This course allows 5 and 6 players to slow down play
I have played numerous rounds of golf at this club. It is a long drive for me to play. I will never play it again because they allow 5 and 6 players on the course. The group refused to allow players to play through them because they say they are playing a tournament. They had a group of 5 playing in front of them who were also playing in the supposed Tournement. There were no other players in the tournament. These 2 groups held up the entire course behind them.
I complained at the pro shop and was advised by the asst pro that the group was the mens club and are allowed to hold up play. I was also attacked verbally by one of the players. Who insisted they were members and allowed to hold up play.
Challenging !
Lots of fun to play and challenging.
A few of the greens were a little rough but otherwise good condition.

Friendly, good condition course
Enjoyed our round, some greens were spotty but overall greens condition was very good. Liked the layout unique ! You must hit in fairway which is narrow, and bring a junk club for hitting out of rocky edges off of the rough. I failed to bring a junk club so too allot of penalty drops because I don’t want to ruin my new clubs ! Just moved to AZ, surprised at how much non out of bounds exist on AZ courses that requires a junk club !
We drove an hour to get here so the distance means there might be similar options closer !
Played at 11:30 AM, my twosome played in 3.5 hours. Great speed, course does not set up well for long hitters unless you are extremely accurate !
Front desk was friendly and gave us a yardage book which helped a great deal !

Unique set up. Very target oriented golf.

Great course to play
This is a great course for golf. Fairways are excellent but the greens are spotty. Will be excellent in a couple more weeks.

Great course. From the tips it plays far bc of blind tee shots and dog legs in both directions. You have to know ur target areas. Greens weren't fast but in good condition. Definitely be back.

Wickenvurg country club
Was pleasantly surprised with the course difficulty for the distance that was actually put on the scorecard the numerous par threes in the long par threes it makes it as a challenging a little track I suggest anyone to come and play
We would like to add that your assessment of the golf course could not be more true. The White Tees are listed a shade under 5600 yards but they are a tough and demanding 5600 yards. If you enjoy a challenge, we have one for you!

Challenging and beautiful.
Riding through the desert between holes was a neat experience and the fairways and greens were very nice. Some of the greens are under repair with seeding, but that didn't detract from a great experience. The wild life, water and landscape make this a very special place to play.

Our over seed came in really well in most places but as you noticed, we did have some minor issues with a couple of our greens. We expect that within a couple of weeks we should be back to our normal very good conditions. We hope you can make it back to see it!
Tight
Course is tight. Definitely need to apply course management. Narrow fairways.
Overall fun to play when you’re in the fairway.

It’s hard to rate any golf course in the late summer in Az...small greens, on course marks from hole to hole needs upgrade, needs to add combo tee to course(whites to short - blues to long) needs something in between. Golf cart paths were rough.

Thank you for your review. As it would happen, we will be coming out with a couple of different combo tees that will provide an excellent option for a longer course and a little bit shorter course. Having the small greens does increase the challenge of the current white tee set up. Signage and cart paths are also in the works for improvement. We hope to have those changes implemented at some point in the near future as funds become available, and hopefully before you entertain the idea of giving us another attempt.

Told myself to play it safe and smart instead of trying the hero shots on the holes that you can get in real trouble on. Shot the best round on the course today I ever have.

We were so hoping to see this review! Some of what you said is true. We do allow fivesomes at our facility, the two groups in question were playing as part of our mens club, and one of those players did get into a verbal altercation with you.
Your tee time was at 12:56 and you were in our shop at 4:10 complaining about the groups. You played as a twosome even though there were other players that booked your same tee time. Our course policy is for groups to finish their round in 4 hours 15 minutes. Both groups of our mens club did that. They would not have done that if they had to wait for every twosome and single to play through. In any event, you would have completed your round in under 4 hours as a twosome if you had made the effort to finish.
The member that you argued with merely had enough of your lie-filled, very loud, and belligerent rant. Your insistence that there was a sixsome was incorrect and your inability to listen to reason caused him to engage you. You were very unreasonable in your discourse and we are happy that you will not be playing our course again.
