Elephant Rocks at Williams

The course was in superb condition. The greens were fast, but well manicured. A fun round.

This course is at around 7,000 feet. The temperature was at least 20 degrees cooler than at our Arizona home at 3.500 feet. This course kicked my butt but it was very windy. There are a few shorter par 4s to give you hope but some holes (17 par 5 for example) are very challenging to remind you that golf is difficult.

Winter is coming and Elephant Rocks will be closing Sunday, November 18. I had a 10:00 tee time and temp was 35 degrees. Apparently I was the first to tee off that morning. The only cars in the lot were mine and the owner plus some workers. The first nine holes, fairways and greens were frozen.My drives were amazing with the frozen fairways! The ball just kept on rolling and had only a few short chip shots to the green. Unfortunately,, the greens were frozen as well and had to punch shots onto the green because if you hit them high they would bounce way past the green. Even so, the course was in great shape for this late in the season.. I had the course to myself and never saw another golfer until I was on hole 15. I play Elephant Rocks about 8 to 10 times a season and is one of my favorite courses in Northern AZ. The staff is excellent and the course is always in great shape and can hardly wait for the opening of the 2019 season at this gem of a course in Williams, AZ.

Although the course was plug aerating it was still a great day.

The course is in great shape the greens were perfect and we had a great day. I would highly recommend it to any level golfer.

I brought a friend to golf there for the first time in Williams, and he remarked leaving the pro-shop that Greg is how all employees in golf should be. Very friendly and courteous, just like all of the others we encountered working there.

Course is in fantastic shape and defiantly worth the trip. TOTALLY GREAT EXPERIENCE GOLFING THERE.

The course was in the best shape we have seen thanks to lots of rain over the past few weeks. This course is challenging with a number of long holes since I don't hit very far. They have some very interesting holes and we like to play here since it's generally cooler than where we live. We usually see deer there as well.

Great golf course. If your a golfer this is a must play course you’ll have fun and enjoy the the high country on the summer. Good value.

I always love to play Elephant rocks, this course is always in great shape and the greens are flawless.

Had a great time escaping the heat of Phoenix playing in the cool pines at Elephant Rocks GC. Pace of play was ok, course was in great shape, greens and traps were perfect. The course has a variety of playable holes that are fun and challenging. Go with someone who has course knowledge if possible.

The course married the old forest nine and a newer meadows nine into a fun track. Holes 1-5 are in the forest with many changes in elevation. The next nine holes are on the flatter, more open meadow. You return to the forest and elevation changes for holes 15-`18. #18 is a fun way to finish par 3, straight downhill. Scott, Brandon, and Andrew; the pro shop personnel are tremendous hosts. A fun way to escape the heat of Phoenix and Prescott.

The course was in great condition and a fun setting for a golf course. We especially love holes 17 and 18.

We had golfed here several years ago and had looked forward to coming back. Be sure to golf here if you are ever in the area. FUN!
