ALWAYS VERY NICE, BOTH STAFF AND COURSE
I play this course at least twice a week and am very sad to be moving away from it. I really like the staff and the beauty of the course. Always a fantastic experience all the way around.
Good Mountain Golf for a Good Value
An attractive mix of challenging mountain golf and some straightforward meadow links. Excellent turf with receptive greens. Nicely maintained traps. Several par-4's are narrow and best played with a hybrid off the tee.
Adequate driving range and practice putting/chipping green with sand bunker. Hot dogs, fruit and candy always available, with full sandwich menu only available on busy days. Rustic clubhouse/bar.
If you are staying in Flagstaff, this is worth the drive. Elephant Rocks is a more conventional and open course layout than Continental Country Club.
EXCELLENT Staff, both friendly and helpful
The staff starting with Scott, Greg, Brandon, and Bob are always very friendly and helpful. THIS WILL BE THE BEST GOLF EXPERIENCE YOU WILL EVER HAVE IN AZ. I have to move and I wish I could take these guys and the course with me. If everyone was this cool the world would be a lot better.
Slow
Very slow play, call first to make sure no tournament in front of your group, shortage of carts when tournaments are there. Beautiful course.
Great staff! Great Facility!
I loved my round at elephant Rock. The greens are amazing. The course does look short on paper but does make you play long shots still. Brandon in the golf shop is great. Very personable and willingness to help. This course is easily a top choice when staying in Flagstaff. I really wanted to play a tree lined course and that's what they provided with a good mix of open holes as well.
Beautiful views.
Had a 1040 start time. The views were beautifull. Golf course was in good shape... Unfortunately the pace of play was very slow. We got logjammed at the 9th and it continued for the rest of the course. Price wise it was fair.
Elephant Rocks
First time playing this course and it chewed me up and spit me out. Extremely long holes and a lot of up and downs. I play in Phoenix a majority of the time and those flat courses will be much easier now after playing E.R. Beautiful setting, the course was in great shape and was treated to an abundance of wild life. I hope you do not mind crows because there seems to be a lot of them. Would recommend to any one with a certain amount of game, this course is not for beginners. Had lunch in the club house and the food was very good and the wait staff very cordial.
Northern Arizona Hidden Gem
Nice golf course in a beautiful pine forest setting. Great views of Bill Williams Mountain and surrounding area. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Wow ... what a Muni
Staff was excellent, course was beautiful and very playable. Lots of unique holes and shots. Just a great value for a wonderfully maintained muni golf course. Go play!
Friendly
Scott was very friendly and welcoming at the pro shop. I enjoyed the course and the welcoming atmosphere.
SCOTT IS THE MAN
This is a very nice course that I play twice a week. It is challenging with water and width that will keep you alert. Plenty of width to find the wayward shots as well. Played on 11/1/16 with a scratch golfer that was retired and just traveled around golfing. He enjoyed the course very much and had a good time even as he put up with me.
The real gem out there is the PGA guy Scott. Scott has always been very nice and helpful. Not enough good can be said about him as I wish all pro-shops had guys like him.
e- rocks ,known as best kept secret, in north a.z. especial....
I think the pro's use the term ,great course ,track,,local staff,ALL, especially grounds are great; thus this,TRACK, is well groomed and CARED for FUN,CHALLENGING for any and all ,,accomadating alittle over priced; but this is the tourismn industry town, still worth it...ride DON'T WALK........
Williams Golf Getaway
I usually only get to Elephant Rocks once a year living in Phoenix, but wanted to get there and play once more before they close or it gets too cold. The course was in great shape as it has always been when I've played. One of my favorites in Arizona...just beautiful.
panorama views
Great course, beautiful views and fair price on hot deals.
Beautiful course!
We try to play this course whenever we are in the area. It is an awesome course. Beautiful, in very good condition, and challenging. And the weather is great! I highly recommend!
Beautiful course
Views are incredible and can get in the way of your focus on golf. But, a great golf course that is a lot of fun to play.
