Washoe Golf Course

I had an exceptional day of golf until about hole 18. I was about to write our final score down and noticed my phone had fallen out of my cart. It was getting dark quick. I ran home and got my iPad to be able to use find my iPhone. Showing back up well passed closing time. The staff on deck let me use a golf cart to track down my phone. I would highly recommended this place!

It is not well marked and course conditions are such that there are a lot of uneven surfaces making for very bumpy rides throughout.

One reason I very seldom play Washoe is it is very long for Women. It’s about 400-500 yards longer than most of the courses I play here and in Florida. I don’t know why they don’t get with the times. For that reason I would not recommend it to any women I know.

The greens were punched and the debris were not removed. The greens were in terrible condition and it was not informed. It was waste of money playing there

Wonderful course for target practice with a little obstacle to keep it interesting.

Course is a bit hard to follow but the tee boxes were great!!!

The course is in mixed condition; most tees, fairways, and greens in good shape, but large areas of ground under repair on the back nine and some greens are mottled in appearance. Carts are a must on this rolling landscape, but cart paths need repair, especially to asphalt. Some transitions from green to next tee could be better marked.

The city needs to put some real money into this course. Nothing has changed over the years. Small driving range, barren spots all over the course. They allow fivesomes which should never happen, and the group ahead at times had 2 people playing out of one bag. The course needs marshals.

The course is deceiving. It is a muni course and the front nine flat and accessible. Then the 10th hole, next to the parking lot is just a harbinger of the rolling back nine and its hidden difficulties. My only real complaint was that it was very wet from watering overnight and that several of my shots plugged on landing, making it difficult to find. The only other problem was smoke from a forest fire north of Reno about 50 miles on the last few holes. Of course, there was nothing that could be done about that. The pace of play was amazing. We finished in less than 3.5 hours! Definitely going to play there again.

The fires in California presented a foggy like atmosphere where tracking the ball was a little difficult. course was over watered in some areas and the ball plugged on a couple of approaches. greens in great shape and overall the staff doing a good job as well as the restaurant and bar. We had a great day even though it was hot and smoke filled.
