Tanna Farms Golf Club
About
Tanna Farms Golf Club in Geneva offers some of the best golf that the Fox Valley has to offer. The layout meanders across prairies covered with wildflowers and weaves through lush wetlands. The course begins with the stunning signature hole. The par-3 opener has an island green that sets the scene for this thrilling and memorable round. Although it's a seemingly short course at 6,510 yards from the back tees, what it lacks in length it makes up for with plenty of other challenges. Besides the first hole, there are a few other tough par 3s, including one with a postage-stamp sized green. There are some daunting par 5s as well. Tanna Farms Golf Club is not a lengthy course but the layout is generously spaced to offer breathing room between the holes and the undulating slopes and subtle elevation changes make it pay much longer.

bunkers
bunkers are terrible. the sand is like mud, very clumpy and hard. Doesn’t look like sand to me. Needs more soft sand improvement.
Good Course
This is a good course but they definitely overbooked along with having a tournament. My 2some was on pace for a 5h:15m round due to both. I know COVID hit hard but posting people off isn’t going to make you money.
Ok course, suffering from COVID lack of business.
This is not a bad course, but need some cash flow to help improve the conditions. Sand traps are horrible (no sand at all)..
Great Memorial Day round
Course was in great condition. Really nice course tucked away in the suburbs.
I’m being generous with pace of play since it was holiday and a lot of non golfers were on the course. The course typically plays well and you see non golfers leave after 9.
The staff in the clubhouse was super friendly. We teed off on a Thursday at 4:50 pm and it wasn’t busy it all. There was no one in front or behind us which was really nice.
Poor course conditions
Played early Saturday morning and wasn’t please on how poorly the course was maintained or lack there of. Most tee boxes were so torn up especially the par 3’s. Had to stand back a few yards away from all the divots to have a flat ground. The greens were just as bad. Don’t hit any the bathrooms on the course, plenty of trees to go into cause they haven’t cleaned those bathrooms out at all. If you go into the bunkers their rock hard as well. No new sand in there. Not going to recommend this course at this time, hoping they will get this course in better condition by mid-summer.
Tanna Farms
Course was in good condition, tees, fairways and greens. Very cold (49), with 20-25 mph winds. Pace was very good and course not crowed. Restaurant and Bar were not open.
Fun Course
Love playing tanna. Only complaint the tee boxes and the fairway was pretty beat up. Expected a little better for the price. But will still go backk
Hackers paradise
Bathrooms locked. One person on staff. My mom described the clubhouse bathroom as truck stop quality. Pitch marks everywhere on the greens. Tees not marked well or consistently.
Tanna Farms Review
Nice course and a little tight on some holes do a straight ball is a must.
First round 2021
Golfing in March in Illinois is a treat for the golfer but not for the golf course. Us golfers have been pent up all winter waiting to knock the ball around the course! But the courses aren’t ready. Still wet and spongy in a lot of places. With standing water in areas. Sand traps packed down like concrete. No manicured greens. But I got out with friends, enjoyed the fresh air!
