Tanna Farms Golf Club
About
Tanna Farms Golf Club in Geneva offers some of the best golf that the Fox Valley has to offer. The layout meanders across prairies covered with wildflowers and weaves through lush wetlands. The course begins with the stunning signature hole. The par-3 opener has an island green that sets the scene for this thrilling and memorable round. Although it's a seemingly short course at 6,510 yards from the back tees, what it lacks in length it makes up for with plenty of other challenges. Besides the first hole, there are a few other tough par 3s, including one with a postage-stamp sized green. There are some daunting par 5s as well. Tanna Farms Golf Club is not a lengthy course but the layout is generously spaced to offer breathing room between the holes and the undulating slopes and subtle elevation changes make it pay much longer.

Nice course, great value
I've always been a fan of Tanna Farms. A fun layout with a good mix of holes. Front 9 is shorter and more narrow; back 9 is long and most holes are usually into the wind. Surprised at how wet it was in certain spots since it hasn't rained in forever here. There was hardly anyone out there so pace was great. I think they are perfectly priced for the value and location.
Great Course for the money
Tanna Farms is a fun, challenging course and is a great value in the western suburbs of Chicago. I always enjoy playing this golf course.
Great we'll kept fairways and greens.
For as dry as it's been course was in great shape.
Enjoyable and challenging
Played for first time. Very nice staff, easy to get time and good value. Course far better condition than neighboring mill creek which is in terrible shape. Odd layout to holes, but still fun. Great views. Front nine better configuration. Will play again.
Not bad
Never played well here but it's a nice course for the money. Staff is nice. Just got to watch out for slow play.
Great golf for the price
Great course. Gave me a spanking. Lost a lot of balls. Really enjoyed it and would like to go back.
Enjoyable Round
We got a hot deal so we thought we would try this course that we had never played before. Enjoyed the round although we had one of the slowest twosomes we've seen in front of us. We were a foursome and had to wait for them on every hole with no one in front of them. Finally, when they stopped to watch the ellipse, we played through. The course is unusual with 6 par 3's and 5 par 5's and water on 14 of the 18 holes. You probably have to ride because there is a long distance between some holes. Nice layout!!
3 1/2 star
1st- Don't even think of walking this course if given the opportunity. 2nd- you never go back to the clubhouse after the 1st hole. The cart lady we didn't see until 930am., we teed off at 7. 3rd, if you don't hit it straight, bring balls, because you will lose some. This was an enjoyable round, we played on a Sunday in 3:50, and waited on 12 of 18 holes. 6 par 3s, but some pretty long par 5s. You can score very very well if you're a low handicap, but it will be challenging for the average golfer like me. 90% of the course is very well maintained- but that 10% really needs some love. $47 is a little pricey for this course, if you can get it for under $35 its a bargain , take it!
Fun and challenging course
This course really makes you keep the driver in the bag and make smart shots off the tee. Plays quickly. The only downside is that some of the greens are burnt up. The friendliness of the staff more than makes up for this. I'd play again soon
Bring lots of Water Balls
I enjoyed the course but it was unforgiving for a golfer like me who doesn't always hit it straight. You need to play target golf. Tough course and want to challenge it again
Tanna Farms
First time, nice course, strategy for shots, greens need some help. And no alcohol until 10 on Sundays?????
Great course with first hole island
The course is in excellent condition, one of the best I've played. Well manicured, large greens and moderately challenging layout. Very friendly staff and restaurant on premises. Course winds thru a housing development and requires cart to play. You play thru all 18 before returning to the clubhouse. Beverage cart runs thru routinely.
Nothing Special
Played Tanna Farms on a hot day. First thing to know, do not even think about trying to walk this course! The distances between the tees boxes on some holes is ridiculous. Also, make sure you have plenty of liquids in your cart before you tee off as there are no water fountains on the course, although there is a cart girl.
Course has an overabundance of reeds in my opinion and bunkers in the fairway making it tight in spots. My opinion is that too many bunkers that tend to slow up play. (On a par 5 hole, they have a bunker about 150 from the tee). While the course was in good condition, did nothing to really wow me.. Might play it again on a once a year basis
Good warm up round
Started out bad, when pro shop told me I could have paid 26$ at course and we paid 35$ through Golf now. Course was in good shape a little different starting par 3-5-3. No amenities at the turn, you don't see club house until after 18
