Tanna Farms Golf Club
About
Tanna Farms Golf Club in Geneva offers some of the best golf that the Fox Valley has to offer. The layout meanders across prairies covered with wildflowers and weaves through lush wetlands. The course begins with the stunning signature hole. The par-3 opener has an island green that sets the scene for this thrilling and memorable round. Although it's a seemingly short course at 6,510 yards from the back tees, what it lacks in length it makes up for with plenty of other challenges. Besides the first hole, there are a few other tough par 3s, including one with a postage-stamp sized green. There are some daunting par 5s as well. Tanna Farms Golf Club is not a lengthy course but the layout is generously spaced to offer breathing room between the holes and the undulating slopes and subtle elevation changes make it pay much longer.

Challenging Course
Nice fun course, good conditions and varying layout. Course that is not easy but also fun to score on
Not a course for a beginner or average golfer
Almost every hole was unbelievably challenging. With a lot of water/tall cattails and a lot of sand-traps! My high school and wife gave up after 13 holes. I have never lost so many golf balls on a course in my life! This was not a fun outing and a waste of over $100 for the 3 of us! We will very play this course again!!
Great course for the money
I expected a very long round, seeing as it was 4th of July weekend, but we pretty much had the place to ourselves. I have played this course a few times before and always thought it was challenging, especially the 1st hole. We went at our own pace and had a very nice day. The weather was great and the course was in excellent condition.
I don't typically play "farms" courses
I typically don't play "Farms" courses due to past bad experiences. This was a great course and it had some great variety to it. Starts out with a fun Par 3 which is atypical. Recent floods made holes 10-14 very soggy but neighboring courses were closed so that says something about their drainage. I'd play here again. Pace of play is supposed to be sub 4 hours. Took us 4:20 due to several 4-somes booked back to back. Overall a great value with a great attentive cart girl, which is most important.
Rude staff
Old guys in the clubhouse are extremely rude. Would recommend playing somewhere else. This course doesn't act like they want your business.
Loosing Business
Course does not allow people to book as singles through Golf Now. A lot of times I just want to go somewhere by myself and play during the day on a moments notice. I don't mind being paired up with others but when I can't book as a single that's not an option.
Nice change
Coming from the desert and playing mostly Bermuda grass greens and fairways. Staff super friendly and even provided us 3 new rental sets. Only complaint would be lack of yardage markers. Take your rangefinder and enjoy a great track on a farm!!
Ok Course
Staff was not to friendly. Course was short and spread throughout a community.
Sunday Morning
Great value for your money. Interesting layout. Not your usual up and back. Definitely will be returning.
Course in great condition
Great value and nice layout. Only real problem or issue is the 2 par 3's in the first 3 holes. Kinda strange.
Decent shape for early in the year
Tanna Farms was enjoyable and not to crowded this past Saturday. A tad wet and windy but that's to be expected. 8 thru 16 were cart path only. Greens were okay....a tad bumpy but playable. 3.5 stars....course does not have a driving range and can slow to a crawl in the middle of round when it's busy because there are a lot of water hazards and shorter holes. One of the few Chicago area courses where you go out and do not come back to the clubhouse until the 18th. Always a good play once or twice a year.
Good conditions for this time of the year
Very good value. Greens were in very good condition for this time of the year.
Beautiul
Course is in great shape. Plays tough from tips. A lot of water.
Decent course
For the price you can't go wrong. I normally shoot in the mid 80's and would consider this a decent course. A lot of the par 3s are not very challenging though (2 of them I used my sandwedge on).
Unique, fun, and challenging
Have to start out with what a deal it is. First thing you'll notice is that there is no driving range. This is not a high end course and that's okay! The course layout snakes through a couple of subdivisions featuring 4 par 3s on the front nine alone. Back nine has some more traditional long holes although with interesting bunker and water positioning. I really liked the layout as it require using all your clubs well. Challenging. The terrain is undulating leaving you wth a couple holes where you're shooting blind. Fun. Course was wet and in places, soggy, even though it had been a few days since it last rained. Lots of skeeters in the rough. I will be back and would recommend to all levels.
Challenging
Love the course and will play again, very challenging
Tanna nice place to golf
A very enjoyable day. The course is in great shape the cart attendant treated us well. On days when they don't have an attendant make sure not to leave the clubhouse without purchasing refreshments because it will not return to the club house at the 9th hole like most courses.
Wetlands
Course is fantastic, why do they water the wetlands ?
Course i unbelieveable value
For the price, it won't get better. Great layout, very good condition, and pace of play was just under four hours on a Saturday at 1pm.
Love Tanna
The course was in great shape. I always enjoying playing this course and its an extremely good value.
