Tanna Farms Golf Club
About
Tanna Farms Golf Club in Geneva offers some of the best golf that the Fox Valley has to offer. The layout meanders across prairies covered with wildflowers and weaves through lush wetlands. The course begins with the stunning signature hole. The par-3 opener has an island green that sets the scene for this thrilling and memorable round. Although it's a seemingly short course at 6,510 yards from the back tees, what it lacks in length it makes up for with plenty of other challenges. Besides the first hole, there are a few other tough par 3s, including one with a postage-stamp sized green. There are some daunting par 5s as well. Tanna Farms Golf Club is not a lengthy course but the layout is generously spaced to offer breathing room between the holes and the undulating slopes and subtle elevation changes make it pay much longer.

Only complaint was the number of Canadian geese on the course and especially the goose dropping on the greens,.
Nice challenging course. The course was in moderate condition. We did feel there were a lot of geese walking on the fairways so beware of where you are walking. A few greens had so many goose dropping it made it hard to putt. Price was good, $25 for 18 holes.
Hidden golf gem in western suburbs!
Had an excellent outing on July 27th at Tanna Farms GC. Course conditions were very good. Pace of play could have been a bit faster. Tee times that day were too close.
All things considered, a good value.
Needs markers
Fairway markers are impossible to find. If you do not have a range finder your playing the guessing game all day. Other than that a nice course.
Nice views
Need to keep shot on fairways, Need to think on fairways lot of sand.
Nice course, crucial things missing
Nice course, with many challenging golf holes. Management needs to invest in more fairway yardage markers, (they are currently, literally few and far between). Or install GPS on carts. Drinking water is non-existent (the refreshment cart person spoke of cross-contamination with use of water coolers/containers)...courses all over Dupage county have water coolers out on the course...A course this big needs more yardage markers and drinking water.
Scenic, challenging and a great value.
Beautiful course for a great price. Playing time a little slow however.
Great course and great value!
Tanna Farms has a great staff and the course is well maintained for the price! We had a fun and relaxing afternoon with our kids!
Course was in rough shape
It had just rained the day before and the course was soaked, which means the drainage there is pretty bad. It was only $49 for 18 holes with a cart so the price was fine, but way too much standing water.
great course, great challenge, great fun!
Unique first hole, short par 3 starts off your round with a pressure shot while you feel the world watching. Stay dry and you are off to the races. Smart golf is the key to Tanna, know your numbers and keep it in the short grass for a low round. Always a fun time.
Fun course to play
This course is fun, but very long. Don't walk this course. There are some holes that are 1/2 mile between green and next tee.
The course was a great weekday value. We played in 4 hours. More visible markers in the fairways would speed up play even more.

Very Worthwhile!
Thoroughly enjoyed the round! Well kept and fun course. Great burger too!
Great greens
Course plays fair for the average golfer; in excellent condition with great greens
good course for the money
starts with a par 3 there are 6 on this course, lots of fairway bunkers so placing shots is important, fair amount of water that comes into play, course is in good shape not sure how many know about it
For the price this course is a challenge
The course starts off with an island green that was a fun challenge. The greens were fast and pin placement made it challenging. The fairways where in great shape. On some holes the fairways where narrow so make sure to hit them straight.
Good value. Good conditions.
A great value for a Sunday morning. Nice course. Have to think a little before 'gripping and ripping' as there are several instances where less than driver is needed off the tee.
Be ready to run and not think about your shots
This is a well maintained course but the fact that when you play in the pace you should be allowed and the group behind you may be faster, you are expected to play at their speed. Not impressed with the staff or the way they handled the pace of play. If you think someone is slow, look at the clock and verify if that is the fact before ruining the players round by feeling rushed. Don't think I will be back. Not happy with my experience this past week.
A lot of fun will definitely play again.
I found the course short but well kept and the greens are nicely protected by bunkers with good soft sand. There seemed to be a fair amount of obscured approach situations which will leave newcomers wondering where best to land the ball, but the scorecard is very informative and should help.
If you have trouble with distance and direction off the tee, you are going to rack up some penalty strokes and spend some time in the sand. Once you reach the green(which can be tough to hold on approach) you'll have a whole new challenge; On the last round played, they were pretty fast after even after a good soak the night before and though they roll true I found several to be a rather tough read. Unfortunately for me, three-putts were not uncommon.
Though my last round suffered severely there, I really enjoyed playing the gently rolling terrain offering unique views of the area an interesting blend of prairie, ponds, and wetlands- winding through a newly built upscale community where it meets a vast expanse of active farmland. Several times we noted how calm and quiet things were. Bird watchers might want to bring their binoculars while waiting for the fairway ahead to clear. Just don't forget to keep pace!
Great course if you catch the right price
This course is challenging and well-maintained. Everyone in our foursome agreed it was in the top 10 we have played in the last two years, however since we are high-handicappers (for now) we usually only play courses we can afford. We got in here on a "hot deal" and it was a great course for the price. The hazards are intelligently placed and provide a good challenge without being impossible. It has a lot of water which adds to the challenge and look of the course. #12 is a good example of this where you need to carry the water twice unless you want to risk trying to get on in one. Overall, a very fun course. It does need to get a driving range, however, as you can't really go into this without cold considering #1 is an island par 3.
