Poor poor conditions
Shoreline has gone downhill since the pandemic. Fairways are weeds or patches of grass filled with goose poop and ground squirrel holes. Pace of play was poor and no marshal in site. Tried to call the pro shop to get a marshal and went straight to a recording. Hole 4 was backed up by 4 groups!
I dont think i will ever come back to this golf course again
Course has gotten worse from pre pandemic
Pace of play was really slow! No Marshall! Par 3 hole 4 3 groups deep!! Fairways are very tight or dirt. Bunker on 17, the sand was hard ar rock! Goose poop at every hole, especially hole 8! Gopher holes every where!, watch where you walk or you will sprain an ankle! This course was in better condition pre pandemic, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS GOLF COURSE UNLESS ITS <$20 WITH CART!
Driving range stall was uneven, on a down hill lie!
Never again shoreline goose poop golf course!
Need to clean birds dropping
Fairway is filed with birds dropping, in sanitary need to clean up.
Overall great course
Played Shoreline three times and my third time I can say this is one of the better 18 holes on the peninsula. Rates are average, but what I enjoy is the layout. Has a little bit of everything, and. provides a good challenge at times.
Way below expectations
We are sitting in an area where the cities and counties have more tax dollars/ more money than most countries. The golf course felt like it was a muni course in rural Michigan.
The course was in abysmal shape. With all the sun and ideal conditions the course was embarrassingly bad. The first hole bridge is out, the fairways are not aerated(rock hard) the greens were actually decent. Some had disease.
The Green was abnormally sloped on hole 2. Just bad layout if you hit the middle of a green and roll off.
Yes it was cheap but the city should be ashamed that google it cannot maintain a quality golf course.
Course condition
Green OK and no complaint. Fairway absolutely terrible and needs a lot of work. Too many bare spots, ground squirrel holes and lots of geese droppings!!
Forget the negative reviews Shoreline is as nice as ever and improving!
This course is I the nicest shape it's been in for three years and the fairways are becoming defined and the bunkers are a pleasure to play out of . Shoreline offers the elite players the length few courses in the area can as well as Some nice muni greens that are undulating and bunkered on sides and in the front and backs of greens ...
More holes than swiss cheese
Decent track if it weren’t over ran by ground squirrels and gophers. Soo many holes in the fairways and surrounding areas don’t be surprised if your ball rolls into one a time or two. The vegetation is super over grown in a lot of places. Absolutely not worth the money even if it’s a hot deal. Moffett is far better and just down the road.
Dog Track
Shoreline is well past its prime, The course is very tired, Fairways are rock hard and almost no definition between the rough and the fairway so getting any sense of where to play the ball is lost. The squirrels define the rough more than anything. Greens have lots of undulatons and are in ok shape compared to the fairways. Pace was slow, our group waited on every hole and finished in 5 hours. For a course that is not particularly long or difficult was a slog. Played her several times but this is the last.
Windy and Bumpy Fairway
Played for the first time. It was a summer that had a lot of kid campers played. Fairways are in bad condition (dead grass, dry dirt, etc.). Course layout is the only good think for this course.
Shoreline GL
Fairways dry and a bit thin with bare spots perhaps due to drought but they use recycled water so not sure why so dry.
Not a Good Value
There are way better courses in the area for the price. The course isn’t atrocious, but nearly every close course in the price range is better.
