Morris Williams Golf Course

The two older ladies working the front desk made our initial experience very unpleasant. While waiting to pay for our tee time, an individual walked in without a reservation and asked for any availability. The workers treated this gentleman like he was a burden and his presence was an inconvenience for them. Keep in mind the course was almost empty because a rain storm just passed through the course. Arranging a tee time should have been super easy and extra money for the course.

When we started our round of play my partner and I shared a golf bag with all our individual clubs inside our rented golf cart. Right as we were starting the tenant lady came to us with attitude and mentioned each golfer needs their own bag to play this course. We explained that we had our own clubs but we’re sharing a bag since we walked to the course and our pace of play would not change because we are in the same cart and having another bag of clubs would not make a difference. The tenant continued to say we cannot play unless we have two bags on the cart. To end the nonsense we bought a rental bag and she provided another set of clubs.

We told her politely that we felt her and her colleague were rude and the attitude that they were showing was very unpleasant on this holiday week. She continued to say that the rainy weather and slow day was a factor for her behavior. The attitude we noticed portrayed someone who disliked their job and could care less about the experience each golfer has at the course.

The course is always amazing; however these two ladies made the start of our game frustrating due to the lack of customer service.

Really enjoyed it. Everything was good. The only negative was one of the guys who they paired with me was brutally slow… not the course’s fault of course. Will definitely go back!

Greens were in their best condition ever. Very impressed

Love playing this course, but the pace is always super slow. All good though because most courses I go to in Austin are painfully slow. I also live across the street so this is my spot. Make sure you hit the restaurant there for some beers and a glizzy. Also tip the girls as much as you can, they’re working hard.

The only thing I had on the course was the greens were very very slow.

Great course! Awesome layout, everything is manicured to perfection! Greens are perfect and very receptive! Staff is super nice and friendly! Only thing is no water on the course so make sure to bring your own water!

Let's see... slow greens, grass clippings in the fairway and everywhere, weeds everywhere, unfixed ball marks on the greens, no drinking water on the golf course, and the golf cart we rented wasn't charged properly.

Does the city of Austin really care about this place?

As good grass on tees, fairways and greens as you can find.

The course is in excellent shape. Fairways & greens were very good. A few unexpected small muddy spots. Impressive conditions for the long hot no-rain summer in central TX.

The course conditions are pretty good. Greens roll a little slow in my opinion, and if people fixed their divots, it would go a long way in keeping the course in great condition. Not too challenging since there aren’t many bunkers or water hazards. Most challenging part is hitting on slopes if you don’t use the right clubs. Fairways overall is pretty wide. I do the worst on hole 9. But overall its an enjoyable course.
