It is a tough but challenging course with lots of canyons “and hills.

Honestly, my only issue with the course isn't the fault of facility. My issue is with the USGA and/or whomever rated the place for handicap purposes. From the Championship tee's (roughly 6500 yards) the slope is 130. That's laughable. I've played a whole bunch of courses rated more difficult and this place beats most if not all of them in terms of the challenge. It's target golf to the max. Some holes/shots being borderline unfair, Whether it's extremely narrow landing areas off the tee (when hitting off a mountain cliff) or blind approach shots to small greens with extreme false fronts and/or hidden drops off, it's as demanding of a course there is. And it needs to be rated as such,

With that being said, the greens were generally in great condition and were fast. And the fairways were fine overall (good luck with your wedges hitting off bare bermuda lies if you're unfamiliar).

Overall I would play here maybe once a year. It's especially ideal if you're trying to inflate the handicap for sandbagging purposes. Bur yeah, be prepared to feel like you played well but came away with an insanely high score.

Got paired with a couple of guys who would rather get drunk than play golf. Ruined the round.

Played 10/27 with a friend of mine. We were paired up with a brother/sister 2some. Despite having to T off from different Ts the pace was smooth and the starter got us out there a few minutes early. Front 9 fairways were pretty narrow, but the fairways were in good shape and the greens ran true. Back 9 opened up and was a little bit more forgiving. We order food from the clubhouse on the 8th hole and it was hot and ready by the time we made the turn. The grilled chicken sandwich and fries were awesome. Cart service came around 2-3 times on the front and again in the back 9. Challenging but fun course with great views. Looking forward to playing here again.

Greens were in excellent condition. Everything else was sub par. Lady in the pro shop was very rude. Took us five and a half hours to play. Had an old man in front of us come back and tell us to “stop hitting into him” when we had no idea we were doing that due to every single hole having a blind spot. Altogether the course was not enjoyable. I would save your money and go play Moorpark cc which had a much better layout and better staff. Most likely will not play here again.

Over priced. Artificial water creek out of service. That would May be make more beautiful particularly the hole. Marshals came first time letting us know group ahead of us is slow so he informed them to pick up the pace, second time he showed up and telling us we are hole behind , trying to hurry up our pace and got on next tee box which is par 3 group ahead of us just barely got on the green. Not worth of money and time you consider for relaxation.

This course has incredible views to begin with. More importantly, the course itself is just as phenomenal as the views. Very challenging even from the shorter tees. It stretches all the way back to 7000 yards which provides some really fun shots. Great risk/reward options on a couple holes. GPS in the carts, a grass driving range, and the best hotdog I’ve had at a golf course in LA.
