Ashton Hills Golf Club

Ashton Hills is great - fun course in really good shape. Tee boxes and greens are well maintained and the second cut is reasonable. Bunkers could use some work - light layer of sand on top of hard packed red clay. But aside from that, no complaints. Will definitely keep it in the rotation.

We are from Canada and always enjoy playing this course when visiting family. The staff is always friendly and I like the layout.

The course has a lot of GUR areas but they were at least marked. This was likely due to a large tournament happening there earlier in the day but it helped a lot. Overall the course was in very good shape. The greens were hard as a rock but they ran true and were in great shape overall. They stress no outside food or drinks but then they don’t have a beverage cart. It was 92 with 1000% humidity. I am glad I brought my water bottle and refilled it at the turn.

If it were possible to play Ashton Hills without navigating countless tunnels under a busy highway and subdivision streets, the course itself would be very enjoyable and is a good value for the money. It is definitely on the difficult side (130-140 slope depending on your tees). Conditions were excellent. The Bermuda greens were probably the best I’ve putted all year. The fairways are a mix of mostly Bermuda with some zoysia. There are some bare and soggy areas along the edges, but on the day I played, they were very well marked as ground under repair. The cart paths could use some work. The practice area is excellent.

There are some really good, even great holes. But a few holes have severe drop-offs that mean a certain lost ball if you miss the fairway by a very small margin. This in itself wouldn’t be a problem if there was a bailout side. Only the 14th is what I would call a bad hole. It requires less than driver off the tee, which leaves 200+ yards to a tiny green with red stakes short and left.

The pro shop staff couldn’t have been nicer. The restaurant has a nice menu, but it is a bit pricey.

I drove 45 mins from Atlanta to check out this course and for some reason the second I walked in the pro shop, the pro shop clerk treated me like I just insulted his mother. Lots of courses have slow play and poor fairways, but the overall staff attitude was the real differentiator. Won’t be back, ever.

I was equally impressed with the **tee boxes**, which were clean, well maintained, and in very good condition.

Another highlight was the **pace of play**. Our round moved along exceptionally well, without unnecessary delays or extended waiting between holes. A good pace of play can make such a difference in the overall golfing experience, and Ashton Hills did an excellent job in this area.

I was also impressed with the **golf carts and their updated technology**. The modern features were convenient, easy to use, and added another level of enjoyment to the round. It is always nice to play at a course that continues to invest in technology and amenities that enhance the golfer’s experience.

Overall, my experience at Ashton Hills was extremely positive. Between the **well-maintained greens, fairways and tee boxes, excellent pace of play, and modern golf cart technology**, it was a very enjoyable day on the course. I would certainly recommend Ashton Hills to golfers looking for a quality course and a pleasant overall experience.

Greens were recently punched and sanded..but outside of that. It's a fun course to play and the challenging angles and elevations make it worth the price.

Love the course! Friendly people. Course was in great condition. Highly recommended.

Too many of the holes on the front nine are blind tee shots, and if you venture near the edges of the fairways your ball is more than likely lost because the runoffs are so steep. But the greens are nice.

We had a great day. Only issue is that someone took our umbrella at the turn

Overall, the course was in great shape, with the exception being several of the tee boxes.

Course was in great shape. Played middle of the week and it wasn’t crowded. There were junior golfers on the practice facility, looked to be having a mini clinic. Love to see it. Would highly recommend.
