Bear Creek Golf Club

Man, this place used to be so good. I’ve been golfing here for over three years and have been well over 100 times. In the past year, this place has become a joke. They ruined the layout even more than it already was before. I’ve been here four times in the past two months and every single time they did not have any golf balls for sale but instead we’re selling used golf balls for $18 for a dozen. I can understand maybe one time not having balls but for over a month and four separate visits how does a golf course not have golf balls for sale. Cart path is abysmal and the new GPS tracking is awful so many restricted areas where you should be able to go and the course maintenance just seems to have gotten worse in the past year. I used to love coming to this place and consider it my home courseand even considered becoming a member and I’m so glad I did not cause it is a nightmare to go here now. I promise I will not come back to this course until the ownership changes or something improvements are actually made. Also never expect to see a cart girl on the weekends no matter how busy it is not that they are ever busy anymore anyway.

Golf carts now have gps in them. Ours stopped working after hole 5. Cart #1.tried to reboot about 10 times. Still kept freezing up.

If you miss a fairway by even a few feet, you can kiss your ball goodbye. The second cut is so deep that if you are not standing right over your ball, you can't see it. Very frustrating when it takes you 10 minutes to look for your ball when it has just rolled off the fairway.

I only get down to this area 3 times a year and look forward to golfing. I had the same problem in the spring when I was here.

I have put a note in my phone to remember not to play this course when I come back in January.

Great deal, greens weee nice. Like the new layout. Tough cart paths, hope they can get those fixed. Definitely recommend playing, enjoyed the course

Please repair the cart Paths. That wore me out.

Our Cart also died and we had to reboot it which took a while and the players behind us started stacking up.

The Beer was very cold which was great.

Nice course. Loved the course but it could use some improvement. The cart paths are atrocious and potholes are everywhere. Also the layout is a bit weird as you are often backtracking over previous holes to get to the next. Overall very enjoyable and nice but needs a little love.

Was a good time. Pace of play was bad at first, to be expected on Labor Day, but wasn’t an issue once we got about 7 holes in. Tee boxes were certainly hard to put tees in and some of the greens had trees very close, so tons of debris when putting. The layout of the course is fun and a bit challenging. A fair amount of tee shots where you can’t see where you land. Challenging but still a bit open. Will be back.

The course is in great condition. Fairways and greens are really good. No water refill stations, no beer or alcohol sold on site. Other than those everything else is fantastic.

If you are not 100% in the fairway on every shot, you will loose your ball in the 4 - 6 in semi-rough. You have to be standing over the ball to see it because it falls all the way to the ground because of the type of grass. You will see the group in front of you driving around in circles trying to find a ball that was hit straight - but just not quite far enough.

The course itself is nice enough and well maintained. The starter is awful on the weekends. Tee times get stacked up and you always start atleast 45 minutes behind on the weekend. Its a great course for the money during the week.

Poor Starter catching crap because GolfNow setting Tee times 5 minutes apart!! Is that true? Or a money grab from Bears? Running at least 30 minutes behind!! Not a good look!!

-Condition of the tee boxes were awful.

-Middle of the fairway and your cart is in a disabled zone?

Literally...middle of the fairway with no tee boxes in sight.

-Staff was pleasant enough.

-Bunkers weren't bad.

If you have not played this course in the last two years, you need to play it asap. Fairways and greens are in great shape and the rough is true rough. You could walk over your ball and not see it. For the price you can’t beat this place right now.

I was thoroughly disappointed with the condition on this course. The greens needed some attention, the rough was overgrown and not maintained, and the tee boxes are very poor shape. Hole identification throughout the course was confusing, making navigation difficult. Additionally, the cart geofencing needs to be fixed. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not plan to play this course again.

Showed up for a Saturday morning tee time about 15 minutes early. Check in with starter and ask if we’re the next group going off. He responds, “No, we’ve got our regular Saturday morning men’s group in front of you. Not sure how many it will be today, but it’s usually 20 guys.” Yes, we (and everyone else with a tee time for the next 45 minutes) sat there and watched 5 groups, seemingly without tee times, go off in front of us. There are other reviews about delayed starts, but I didn’t take them seriously because what other course would actually do this? Besides waiting 45 minutes past our booked tee time to start, course is in decent shape. But there are plenty of better options that don’t require a six-plus hour round just so regulars don’t have to be bothered with booking tee times.
