Two long par 4s (15 & 16) make for a meaty finish. Photo submitted by BrandonTuckerGA on 06/12/2017
Nice course, more amenities would help
This is a nice course. The first holes are par 3 and difficult. I was getting disappointed but the back holes, starting frim hole 10 are gorgeous! The par 5 holes are really great and make up a great experience.
Best value golf in austin
Played here the most in austin, first of all there is drinking water almost every hole…so that’s a huge plus where some courses you pay $70+ and maybe two or 3 water jugs. Very fun layout, for the money you pay you can’t find a better deal here in austin. The staff has always been super friendly and glad to see you even if they’ve never met you before! Riverside is the most underrated course in austin…def worth it go and play!
Love this course
Was playing with a couple of buddies who are newer to golf and some of the golf staff including the head pro made us feel excited about playing. Golf course staff should meet their guest with a big smile and find a way to make their guests feel welcome and that’s what we experienced.
The course condition was excellent and despite open fairways the greens and are around the green made for some fun and challenging golf.
The Food staff was extremely kind and willing to throw in a hand to help with carrying drinks and again with a smile.
After fees we payed $33 per person making it incredibly affordable.
I have to give it up to the course and it’s staff despite not wanting to attract to much attention to this gem that’s not overrun like some of the other public courses.
Hot day but plenty of coverage
Overall the course is in great condition and due to all the trees around all the tee boxes and down every fairway, we were able to get releaf from the heat.
Great roud
We had a great time. Course was in good condition. Only down side was the bunkers were extremely hard and difficult to play.
Hot Tuesday in Austin
I was in town for some down time, and this was my first time at this course. The staff (one guy) in pro shop was very cool and friendly. He recommended a few restaurants and such. I liked the course. My only real complaints were the greens were heavily sanded and it was BYOB and there was no grill open. Other than that, its a decent track that I would like another crack at some day.
Greens
Some of the greens were in pretty bad shape and definitely need a lot of work. The course itself was great for a beginner like myself super open and hard to lose your ball
Riverside Down
Paid $50.00 for a mediocre experience. I've been playing Riverside for years. This was the 2nd worse condition I've seen.
Course reciew
Course is open and easy to play as a beginner but about half the greens are in really bad shape with just large pockets of sand
Always a good time
Played a solo round and was behind a big group but they let me play through. Staff is always friendly and price is nice compares to other courses. Greens are iffy but when I played they were going n good shape minus hole 3.
Riverside
First few holes (from the first) the greens were in really bad shape sand all over. No driving range, they have a big net you can hit balls into. I recommend use your own balls there. They have some but are in pretty bad condition. Their practice putting green is really good but def doesn’t translate to the course. This was my first time playing here probably won’t go back unless there was a good deal on Golf now. Pace of play was good not many people out, probably because it was 103 degrees out.
Solid Muni
Riverside is a great muni. If you’re looking to get out with some friends for a fun round play here. Some greens and tee boxes are doomed and are sand but besides that course is fine. Also is BYOB which is pretty cool
