Two long par 4s (15 & 16) make for a meaty finish. Photo submitted by BrandonTuckerGA on 06/12/2017
Nice muni course
Played at 8:40am. played as single because course not crowded. Played through a walking group. Played in 3 1/2 hours. Considering the recent heat and drought the fairways had enough grass to play fine. greens good except for a couple of bare areas, which management is working to correct. Relaxing, laid -baclk atmosphere. staff great. Pimento Cheeses sandwich great after round .
Great day for golf
Really like playing this course. Great conditions.
Good Confidence Booster
Just getting back into playing after a very long break, this was a decent and forgiving course that was great for my current, low, skill level.. Very wide fairways and not a ton of trouble to get into. The greens were pretty rough. Some sand piles on a few greens but I've seen worse for sure. For being in the middle of a major drought, the course was in pretty decent shape. Friendly staff. I got paired with a twosome of about my skill level (I shot a 94 and I think they were probably in the same neighborhood.) Pace of play was really good. We got around in about 3.5 hours and never waited on a tee box and never anyone waiting behind us. Good, fun golf.
Worst course I’ve ever played
I was baited by the 4 star reviews to think that this was a nice course but this is the worse corse I’ve played. The green had sand craters and the pace of play was herendous. Don’t waste the money!
Course is in REALLY good condition
I’ve been playing Riverside a couple times a month since ‘08 and I’ve seen the ups and downs. But she’s looking real nice lately, greens look good, they’re holding shots and fast. Not country club fast, but faster than normal. And we played in 2 1/2 hours to beat the heat. Omg and they had a beverage cart out, super sweet girls and not crazy pricing. Always good playing riverside, I still swish there’s was a better solution for driving range, but love the course.
Nice course
Came down from DFW to play some new courses. Very pleasant experience
Nice course but few amenities
This course is nice to play. You van get a vit disappointed durung the fist 3 holes which are very short, but the back holes are really nice. More amenities would help have a better time.
Nice course, more amenities would help
This is a nice course. The first holes are par 3 and difficult. I was getting disappointed but the back holes, starting frim hole 10 are gorgeous! The par 5 holes are really great and make up a great experience.
Best value golf in austin
Played here the most in austin, first of all there is drinking water almost every hole…so that’s a huge plus where some courses you pay $70+ and maybe two or 3 water jugs. Very fun layout, for the money you pay you can’t find a better deal here in austin. The staff has always been super friendly and glad to see you even if they’ve never met you before! Riverside is the most underrated course in austin…def worth it go and play!
Love this course
Was playing with a couple of buddies who are newer to golf and some of the golf staff including the head pro made us feel excited about playing. Golf course staff should meet their guest with a big smile and find a way to make their guests feel welcome and that’s what we experienced.
The course condition was excellent and despite open fairways the greens and are around the green made for some fun and challenging golf.
The Food staff was extremely kind and willing to throw in a hand to help with carrying drinks and again with a smile.
After fees we payed $33 per person making it incredibly affordable.
I have to give it up to the course and it’s staff despite not wanting to attract to much attention to this gem that’s not overrun like some of the other public courses.
Hot day but plenty of coverage
Overall the course is in great condition and due to all the trees around all the tee boxes and down every fairway, we were able to get releaf from the heat.
Great roud
We had a great time. Course was in good condition. Only down side was the bunkers were extremely hard and difficult to play.
