I accidentally rated this lower than I meant too.
Great experience!! Love playing this course.
We had a first time player with us and he had a great experience!
Thanks to all at Sandpiper!!
Great Course for Value and Challenge
Can’t beat this place for the money. If you are looking for pristine course conditions and flowers go to Disney. If you want to play a great public course with challenging holes and a fast pace of play this is your course. Not a real long course but there are plenty of longer holes to let it eat and the par 3’s are all longer 160 out to 210 yds.
Great service in the bar & pro shop too,. Will definitely play this course again 27 holes to choose from too.
Sandpiper
Course was in decent shape, pace of play was right at 4 hours for 18 holes.
Clubhouse staff and starter were friendly and helpful.
Nice afternoon golf
Pretty dry like most of the courses around here so condition as expected but playable n enjoyable. Nice layout and pleasant round
Sad to see it closing
Played here many times and love the course and sad to hear it’s closing. Played the Lakes for the first time so I feel I’ve experienced everything. Course was good compared to others around. Some of the sand bunkers were killers to get out of but that’s part of the game. Cheers to Bunkers with the cold beer and hope I get to return once again soon.
Enjoyed Sandpiper
Played Palms/Oaks and enjoyed the variety of holes. Fairways were mostly good but a few were not. Greens were nice but some were tiny. Will play there again
Solid course to have in the Tampa Bay rotation
Played Sandpiper this morning with a threesome, and really enjoyed it.
It was my second time playing the course this season; I was there a couple of weeks ago.
Each time we played the Oaks to Lakes track for 18 holes. This time around, the Oaks front 9 was in much better shape than last time, so it was great to see the improvement. The greens were rolling pretty true and looked really healthy; same can be said for *most* of the fairway grass as well.
The Lakes back 9 was a little more rough. It looks like they let the grass grow a little much in the fairways and tee boxes-my playing partner had mentioned that they mightve been doing that.
We went out just before 7:45a, and finished at 11:15ish. We didn't have anyone pushing us the whole round, and we never waited on a group in front (except for maybe the first hole and a half if anything), so props to the starter!
Pretty good shape.
The course is on pretty good condition. The greens were somewhat rough.I
Meh
Pay a little more and you’ll get a lot more elsewhere. The greens are bordering on microscopic… I think over the years they’ve lost size by the way they’re mowed smaller and smaller. Not worth $44+
Course review
Overall the course was not in terrible shape. I have played worse here in Florida for mor money. Greens were not bad but not great. A little slow. Fairways were probably the best part of the course. The rough was not good at all. More weeds than anything. The tee boxes had mostly good grass but needed mowed. Overall the upkeep of the course was not good. For the money it was ok but I would play their sister course which is in much better shape.
Nice course
Nice course with a great staff. My friends and I play there regularly.
George the starter is the best!!
