About
White Heron Golf Club (formerly known as Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club) has had many accolades over its history and for good reason. The Ted McAnlis layout is sculptured from lush rolling land and features immaculate playing conditions year round. Water and natural wetlands come into play on 16 of our 18 holes and the resident breeze can significantly change the course from day to day. Yet despite the natural beauty and obvious pedigree of the layout, with four sets of tees the course is still enjoyable for golfers of all levels.

Golfer Reviews
Will go again
Great layout. Apparently had gone downhill but bringing it back.
Nice Challenging course. Greens very good. Fairways decent. Traps and tees could be brtter.
Good price.
Excellent golfing venue
Excellent customer service !! Glen ( professional ) could not do enough for our group of 8 golfers.
Golf course was a great challenge.
And Glen looked after us in the 19 th and made the whole day a major success .
Many thanks to White Heron and Glen .
In very good shape only 4 days after Milton
As you would expect the course was very wet (but only two holes were cart path only), but not to the extent that balls were plugging. This is the third time I've played this course. It's a fun layout but there is a lot of lateral water, and in some cases just enough undulation in the terrain to hide the safe line over the water.
I started on the back nine at 11:50 as a single. I caught up to one foursome on 14 that let me play through. On the front nine I caught up to a twosome in the fairway on the ninth and waited to hit my approach shot into the green. Finished at 2:20. Not rushing, just steady play.
Course generally favors a draw since most of the trouble is on the right.
Thank you for the kind words, White Heron is one of the most challenging courses in Central Florida, but fair with 6 sets of tees for every level of player.
We handled the storm very well and right now we are in great shape.
Hope to see you soon,
WHGC
Good times.
The course escaped a lot of the hurricane damage. But there was a lot of water and mosquitoes flying around. I will recommend this course to everyone. The staff was very friendly and I like to point out one in particular, Glenn was a very friendly and kind staffer. He drove around in his golf cart checked on players and the course and he always had a smile on his face. I enjoyed my round and I intend to revisit this course in the future.
Thank you for playing White Heron Golf Club. We really value customer service and our mission is to make sure everybody has a great day. Mother nature is throwing every thing at us , but the course handled it very well.
See you next time.
Thanks, WHGC
Rather challenging
For an over 65 it can appear to be very challenging but sensible play can reduce the very challenging parts
Thank you Stephen for playing and enjoying White Heron Golf Club. Some of the par 4's it pays to keep the driver in the bag, a little bit longer to the green, but at least your still in the hole, The Par 5's are some of the best in Florida and all of the par 3's can stretch out to over 200 yards.
Thanks again, WHGC
Being a community course I expected your average run of the mill course not too difficult wide fairways large greens and not much in the way of hazards. I couldn’t have been more wrong, a course with character we played off the whites good choice as the further back tees require a few good drives over water.
Excellent course well worth the money
A word of warning for those with gps’s the front nine and the back nine have been swapped round. But numbers 1 and 10 are similar doglegs with water. Confused me not that it takes much. The usual reason for this is when the members find what are now the 9, 10, 11 holes too hard for opening holes and ruin your card before you even start
Thank you Allister
White Heron Golf Club is a Championship course and plays like one. We have soften some of the holes from forward tees to help along the beginners and higher handicaps.
This course has been home over the years to many of Florida's Mini tour swing and has always proven itself on being one of the top challenging courses in Central Florida.
Once again Thank you for the kind words and hope to see you soon.

No drinking water out on the course. Not acceptable in 93+ temps which is common for this area.
Thank you for playing White Heron Golf Club
We provide, coolers on the cart which can be filled with ice and beverages, free ice and water outside the pro shop, a fully stocked bar with every beverage available.
We do not have coolers out on the course (like most top courses) do to the fact of possible contamination by an individual, but once again we provide every means of keeping you well hydrated during the round.
Thank you, WHGC
Bit shabby
Tees and fairways had sime crab grass, range balls had seen better days and the greens were very slow. Having painted a bad picture it was actually a very nice layout and challenging in places. It was just a shame that it needs a little investment. Given that it would be a great value track.
Thank you for playing White Heron Golf Club.
Hope to see you soon.
White Heron Golf Club
You need to know that the course is in a gated community & you have to allow time to get a parking pass & enter the community through the main gate. The course itself is an interesting layout with water in play on many holes. Generally, the course needs a bit of TLC as recent weather has taken it's toll. Tees & bunkers in particular need more attention. It was cart path only which was only notified on the first tee by the starter.
Thank you for playing White Heron Golf Club, it was a pleasure servicing your group and can't thank you enough for the kind words. We're glad you had a great day, as that is our mission and hope to see you soon. Have safe travels when you head back over the pond.
Thanks, WHGC
