White Heron Golf Club (formerly known as Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club) has had many accolades over its history and for good reason. The Ted McAnlis layout is sculptured from lush rolling land and features immaculate playing conditions year round. Water and natural wetlands come into play on 16 of our 18 holes and the resident breeze can significantly change the course from day to day. Yet despite the natural beauty and obvious pedigree of the layout, with four sets of tees the course is still enjoyable for golfers of all levels.

Ongoing investment on the course

The course has rebranded/changed its name and my car GPS and golf Garmin app hadn’t updated. That combined with road closures made it a challenge to find as the entrance to the resort it’s situated on that the GPS took us to was unmanned and we had to find another entrance.

There has been investment in the course and the greens were good. The course design was interesting with some tough holes due to narrow fairways and water. The course itself wasn't manicured but it didn’t impact the overall positive experience.

It represented decent value for money.

This course was a neat course to play it was in great shape but there are some tough shots and the score card doesn’t really help. We played with John a local guy he was awesome for trying to help us navigate the course. Would play again next time in Orlando area

Slow……

Tough too. You can see they are trying to improve, but not there yet…

Five hour round never makes for a good day and no real effort to move play along..

Invisible water hazards in front of greens with no real indication don’t help…drainage issues on most holes too..

Won’t be back until I read reviews of marked improvement..

Not Bad-Not Great

Decent layout. If you don't want to pay resort prices, this isn't a bad option. They were spreading fertilizer while we were playing, the guy operating the spreader kept right on going even though the dust from this stuff was blowing right at us. A couple of the greens were peppered with the brown fertilizer, which made putting impossible....smell was also unpleasant.

Course layout is great. People working including ranger were very friendly. I really enjoyed playing this course. I would like to play it again. It is a little long for me from the whites. I had to use a 6 iron often. Good value for money.

Great shape!

The course is in great shape. The pace of play was very fast. I prefer a more open layout, but the course is really nice. Many holes are very tight. The greens are great!. I would certainly play there again.
