Glorified dirt track
Very little grass apart from decent greens. Most of the rest of the course would be ground under repair
Good time
Nice course in good condition. Nice clubhouse. Nice
Proshop. Would recommend to anyone.
Where’s the Marshall
Really nice course but took 20-25 minutes per hole. So backed up it took me an hour and 45 minutes to get through six holes and left. Marshall needs to be out there regulating groups meeting up and pace of play. Never left a review in my life. Front desk girl and starter were nice but having a group of 8 playing and not keeping up the pace was absurd not sure if I’d come back
Fairways cut short and dry.
Many fairway shots were off hard, dry, short to little grass.
Good day
The greens were an excellent shape. The staff was very friendly and kind. The fairways were not great but they were playable. Overall, I’d give this course a 4.7 out of five stars.
Nice course
Pace of play
was 4 hours. Greens were very smooth and putted true. Fairways had been aerated and were a little rough. Will come back.
First round 2025
I will say, after reading some newer reviews, I was not excited to go to The Rock. Don't believe everything you read. Old country club course. The greens are great, winter time fairways are in good shape. If you stray from them the oak tree roots will require a Judge Smails helper. I will definitely be looking to add this place to my rotation.
Lovely Course!
Lovely course with greens in great condition and beautiful mature trees. I always enjoy playing here. They recently changed their cart system to ones with GPS that don't allow golfers to get close to the greens. However there are a few glitches in the system, we couldn't move our carts even when on several cart paths as the cart told us we were in a restricted area. There is no warning when you are getting near the "restricted area". Someone came out on the course and gave us a new cart which solved that problem.
Very friendly staff, will definitely go back again!
100% disappointment
First of all, let me start by saying the staff could not be nicer. They were wonderful. We had a teetime that started off on time but as the holes went by the conditions got worse and worse. Rockledge used to be a private course in great condition, I really don’t know what happened. I would compare it to Harbor city or Melbourne municipal. Got a cheeseburger at the turn and with 15 minutes, it had me scrambling to find a bathroom. burger was pretty much raw. Haven’t had a bad experience like this in years. This NOT WORTH THE $79 on the weekend. What a shame.
