General Old
Just played Gen Old for the first time since November and the course is in great condition. The fairways are green and gives the ball a great lie. The greens are a little fast and have some deceiving breaks. Overall I had a great time with plenty of challenges while maintaining the fun of the game.
Beware of Extreme Rough
This was my first time playing here. Overall, the course was good. The rough was a bit extreme and slowed pace of play a lot.
Course Good Cashier Arrogant
What a great rate for a Saturday round of golf at the General Old Course. But I thought that and many, many, others thought the same thing. The backup on the back nine was so bad, with a two groups wait on the 10th and 11th, that our foursome decided we might get in two or three more hole before darkness so we just went back to the 1st tee.and got in seven more. The first impression of the clubhouse cash register person and I guess so called starter never greeted me or others just stood and waited for you to speak. Was told I had to wait for a cart, no problem, I hit a small basket of range balls and as I was walking out I asked will I get called to the tee box at my start time and Mr. Personality replied sharply and tersly said "I'm not calling you". I came to get my cart key after hitting balls and stared at Mr. Personality and I wanted my cart he tossed the key at me and I had to ask does the key work on any cart and he said one word "yeah". Golf OK, register guy jerk.
Another great time
Had a total blast. Got paired up with a gentleman, and it was.We had so much fun together. Always nice to meet somebody new.
