Westridge Golf Club
About
Westridge Golf Club is a challenging layout designed by Robert Muir Graves, a familiar name in California golf. Graves has designed many of the state's most popular courses including Boundary Oak in Walnut Creek and Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel. At just under 6,600 yards, Westridge G.C. is seemingly short but what it lacks in length it makes up for with more than 60 sand bunkers strategically placed alongside the narrow fairways and sloping greens. There are also some holes that offer interesting risk-reward opportunities for adventurous big hitters. The elevation changes throughout provide difficult uphill and downhill shots that will depend almost entirely on proper club selection. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course finishes with a dramatic par 5 that plays downhill against the winds to a rolling fairway and then into a fiercely protected green.

Very challenging course
This was the first time I played this course. I played on Presidents’ Day. The pace was pretty good for a holiday. Fairways in good shape. Teebox is in good shape. The green is kind of patchy bumpy but overall very good. My only complaint is that there needs to be more signage for the next hole.. as a first time player of this course if you’re not paying close attention to the signage that there is, you can easily miss year next hole, especially going up to the 10th T small sign. If you miss it you drive past the cart area and up along the 18th green. Also, several of these holes share the same cartpath so be mindful that you park close to the curb so the carts can pass through. Overall, I would definitely play this course again. .
They let it go
It’s in very bad shape but still prices are high. Over 2.5 hours to play 9
Tee boxes
I really wish courses would let us know before we play if there are large sections closed off or if there is extensive ground repair happening. Yesterday's round had about half the tee boxes either grouped together at the forward tees or under serious repair. One hole didn't even have the tee markers so we didn't know where to tee off from and wasted time driving back and forth. I'm all for repairing the course and keeping up the maintenence. I'd just like to know about it before I pay to play. Then again it might have been on the website. I didn't check.
Nice little course
The course is in pretty good shape, and the layout is very nice. It has some character to it as well, the staff is very friendly, and I understand that they have a Korean BBQ on site, got a try it next time. Great value for your money.
Fairway
This course needs some TLC. Hitting off the fairway is the same as hitting from the rough. The fairways need to be cut. As discolored as the greens are, they are remarkably true and firm most days. But there's a reason why this course has tee times available during the weekday mornings when others don't. It's not worth the price when you consider the steep elevation changes with bad fairways. Losing balls is almost guaranteed. It would be different if bad bounces didn't occur as often which could be fixed if the fairways were maintained properly.
Bunkers
Course was alright greens need a little help but bunkers were horrible hitting out of dirt and rocks
Fairways and Greens
Some fairways are narrow and the greens were in great shape. For the most part traps are dirt and very hard, very few actually have sand. Green fees avrg for course.
Tee time delay
50 min tee time delay and waiting every hole. 3 hours to finish 9 holes.
Do not play here
Pace of play was horrible 40 mins to play the 1st hole...enough said
Condition could be better
The course is still a bit soggy from all the recent rain so it’s cart path only. Most of the fairways haven’t been mowed in a while which is a bit disappointing when you hit a good tee shot and still have to muscle one out of thick grass. Hopefully they can clean it up soon.
