Westridge Golf Club
About
Westridge Golf Club is a challenging layout designed by Robert Muir Graves, a familiar name in California golf. Graves has designed many of the state's most popular courses including Boundary Oak in Walnut Creek and Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel. At just under 6,450 yards, Westridge G.C. is seemingly short but what it lacks in length it makes up for with more than 60 sand bunkers strategically placed alongside the narrow fairways and sloping greens. There are also some holes that offer interesting risk-reward opportunities for adventurous big hitters. The elevation changes throughout provide difficult uphill and downhill shots that will depend almost entirely on proper club selection. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course finishes with a dramatic par 5 that plays downhill against the winds to a rolling fairway and then into a fiercely protected green.

Westridge review
I like the course but, too many players with later tee times than mine jumpef ahead of our group further slowing the pace of play.
Marshall needs to regularly drive course to keep everyone in line.
Bad management
They have not enough cart , so people waiting cart.
Tee off behind 30 minute.
Pace of play is so slow.
Tee box fairway green condition is bad.
Everything is make me upset.
Westridge Review First Time player
Well maintained course and great greens. Very challenging course.
I don't underrated the role on golf staff
The six people who booked before us at 9:40 am came past 12 pm. So the time we booked was overdone, and in the end, we came home with only 13 holes. I can't understand the golf course staff who took them in the afternoon. I wasted my money for the rest of halls
So slow
3 hours and 20 minutes for the front nine... we just left at the turn, who wants a 6 1/2 hour round.
Poor cart policy
We had a tee time for 3 and even though we were all from different households they insisted two of us share a cart. They explained that had we booked separately we can get separate carts and that my friends were the ones putting me in danger. That is a dangerous and ignorant policy and defeats the point of people doing something socially distanced to save their sanity.
We would have been ok with sharing a cart had we been with in the same household. We ended up having to pay extra for another cart.
They offered a plastic shield in between the same cart bench but we didn't think it was safe since they probably didn't consider what an accident would
When the course opened back, there was a separate cart policy in place. I am guessing that the management is trying to squeeze more tee times in at the expense of people's health.
We love the course but the management policies are a public hazard.
We went off 45 minutes late!!! Unacceptable!!!
They were literally 45 minutes behind schedule, easily knocked off 5 or 6 holes we could’ve played more, what a joke.
Nice course. Worst pace of play and customer service.
Paid $60 for the worst round yet. My buddies and I are not top golfers by any means, but we play ready golf. This was the slowest pace I have ever played and I have pleated behind some pretty bad golfers. Through 2.5 hours we were on hole 5 of 18. I called the pro shop many times but got no answer. The help desk told me to flag down a Marshal, but when he drove right past us with checking in or giving us an update. They also told me to go to the pro shop after I “finish” to complain about the pace. The sun went down without us completing the course. I went to the pro shop only to find it closed before sundown. I would like my money back for this terrible 9 hole experience that lasted over 5 hours.
USED TO BE BETTER
The course was rough at best. The fairways were in poor condition and there were many holes that had construction going on in the middle of them.
The pace of play was extremely slow, taking over 5 1/2 hours. Even though they say tha a 4 hour pace will be strictly enforced.
With the Covid pandemic I understand that they don’t have water at the tee boxes like they used to have. But, they also have the drinking faucets off and would not let me have water to drink at the snack bar unless I wanted to buy bottles of water!
Over all it was a very disappointing experience. I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon. And I will recommend my friends don’t either!
