Overall = Excellent
I gave everything a 5/5 except conditions because a few of the greens had a top dressing that left clumps of sand all over them. We were able to kick any of the piles, in our way, around to give ourselves the best line. I would definitely recommend the course to anyone, we played Lakes.
Solid HotDeal Course
Played here last weekend. I got a HotDeal for around $40 and it was absolutely worth the money. Fairways and greens are in pretty good condition, looks like they have a drainage issue in some areas of fairways. Greens are a little furry but roll true and are playable. Pace of play was terrible, but who’s in a rush on Sunday morning. I’d probably think about joining as a member if pace wasn’t so bad.
GlennLakes
Most reviews you read on here are accurate. We visit twice a year, probably played here 15 times. If it’s been raining, stay away. Back 9 is in much better shape than the front. Cart paths are not good.
Overall it’s the best value in the area…all other nice courses are $90-$130. Staff is great! We’ll keep returning in the future.
Nice
Took a couple of friends over to play this course. They as well as I enjoyed it greatly. The entire staff was very professional and nice.
They had a large tournament going on and they made special arrangements to allow us to play an alternate 9 hole tract of their’’s to prevent us from having a 3 hour back nine experience. Much appreciated!
We will play here again!
Good value and friendly staff
Overall a good course and good value. Had a great time on Dunes and Lakes courses.
Close the course
Good news: We were able to get around the course in good time.
Bad news: The course appears to have a poor drainage system. Five out of 18 holes were cart only, and more should have been cart only. Many of the fairways were so wet, it was difficult to find your ball(plugged), or the mower had created large ruts.
The course should close and allow the fairways to dry out. Once the fairways are dry this could be a fun course to play.
Bring water to drink on hot days. The Starter told us a cart girl would be around, but we never saw her..
They cut the grass with a tractor and brush hog
There were lumps of grass all over the course from them mowing with a brush hog. Could not drive on most of the holes with a cart yet they were riding all
Over them with tractors. Then the tee boxes had tractor marks all down the middles of them as well. Only positive were the greens were kept very good. Other than that, I hate that I waisted money to play there and will never go back. Could be a great place if it was maintained with proper equipment.
Sloppy, but to be expected with the amount of rain over last 30 days.
wet
the course should have been closed it was way too wet . pace of play was awful. 6hr pace. the cart paths on the front nine suck. The fairways weren’t mowed . this course is the worst course I have ever played.
Unplayable
They should be closed. They can not help that it has rained a lot but they can close when the course is underwater.
Should've been closed
We are from out of town and booked a tee time and when got there water was all over the courses. Your feet would sink anywhere on the course and it was full of puddles. It started pouring on us and never stopped and they would not give our money back. The golf course shouldn't have been even open that day. It was miserable terrible conditions.
