Falcon's Fire Golf Club
About
The 18-hole Falcon's Fire Golf Club in Kissimmee, FL is a public golf course that opened in 1993. Designed by Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead, Falcon's Fire Golf Club measures 7006 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 73.2 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are tifdwarf bermuda and the fairways are bermuda grass.
Falcon's Fire, a Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead signature masterpiece, is typically wide open, however, shot accuracy is essential. Fairways and greens are well bunkered, and water hazards are a common occurrence.

Open this course to visitors
I notice this is resident only but all tee times are wide open!
OPEN IT UP!
Fun course
Wife & I played twice this week, enjoyable course. Course is in good shape, greens had good speed & bunkers (which there were plenty of) played well. Tees & fairways in good shape. We will come back again.
Great value for $$$
Great value for fee of course they don’t tell u about the “environmental fee” yea right; guess John Kerry plays there; but guess in small print they did notify greens were airated and sanded. None the less it’s a great course in decent shape except for the sand traps which stink!! It’s comparable to the expensive resort courses near by I’d suggest moving around to diff tee boxes for each hole cause some holes super long depending on your skill. Carts have great gps and staff and bar great. Hope rates stay low but doubt it so play it now.
Fun track and good vibes
This is a fun track to play. It’s in good condition, greens are very good condition.I wish people would take the traps but that can’t be pinned on the course. Back 9 better than the front. Staff is courteous and helpful,
Lovely concept , not the best staff.
The course is beautifully thought out. The issues come from the staff. When you drive up, the guys outside are good. They show you where to go…they will walk with you. No problem. You get inside the pro shop, the folks are nice and accommodating. Then they point you outside where your cart is…the folks are standing around…they won’t acknowledge you until you speak to them. No help in showing to the first hole or anything. It’s amazing when you see people working ..:then they act like it’s an inconvenience for them to do their jobs.
The starter was an older guy..really nice and full of knowledge.
The greens were decent, kind of slow but playable. The cart path only way of play is whack. There are many different levels of golfers that visit here and to assume they can make it to the fairway each swing is insane. So when they go looking for balls, it takes forever. Not a well thought out situation.
Golf cart
It would be better if we could ride the gilf cart toward the green
nice change
Course is great especially for that part of town, not one condo, house, jogger, cars etc., kindda like being in myrtle beach, sure someday it will be gone and filled in with condos!! One hole does allow you to see the service road to a toll road, a female appeared to be broken down and became more worried about her and was amazed no one stopped to help or the road rangers as obviously she was in view of the cameras for the toll booth, likely says lots about the times, but i digress!! Paid a great rate likely because greens were punched a few weeks back and time of year, so was a great value. dont believe greens affected my putting at all cause it sucks even on perfect greens!! read lots of poor reviews on here so was leery however overall course was great, yes a few barren tee boxes and a few bad spots on course but certainly nothing that impacted my game!! looked like a few places where maybe maintenance vehicles got stuck in wet areas. Course very challenging but seemed fair, likely you have to play from correct tees, we even moved up to red for a few. Some distances appeared to be off! There were lots of twosomes and play became slow so we played 2/3 with two others, was fine and imagine course let out twosomes trying to do right thing so no complaint! My partner is a great golfer and very particular, had played the course many times and remarked although it use to be pristine it was better then recently, a great challenge and as such we are playing again next week!! Staff even made extra accomadations for guy i was with to help him feel more comfortable for a health concern. Be ware carts are sensitive if you even get one foot off route they will shut em down and takes forever to get back on track!
Falcons Fire Not What It Used to be
* Valet rude upon arrival
* Pro Shop young man, arrogant, no customer service skills.
* Driving range closed
* Lots of ground under repair, dirt around some greens, one tee box hardly any grass, sand traps flooded and some washed out.
* Cart path only play is rediculous due to amount of walking to your shot.
* Can’t recommend to anyone, sad!
Not as good as I expected
Was visiting Orlando and looking forward to a round there as I’d heard it was solid. Gotta say I was underwhelmed. The layout itself is interesting but not in good shape. The course seemed REALLY dry and baked out.
The greens are starting to recover after getting punched but they were just OK. Tee boxes were chewed up and not good. Rough was solid but had many dead patches. The fairways were the best part of the course.
On a very hot and humid day, all of the water coolers were empty. Not good! GPS on the carts is always nice but the cart we had did not drive/steer well. Played the first six holes at a decent pace but the course was really slow. Back nine was really backed up.
Staff was great. The young lady in the pro shop was quite busy but quickly checked us in, and an older gentleman at cart pickup/starter was friendly. While we got a decent rate to play (likely due to the punched greens), I seriously doubt I will ever play FF in future trips to Florida.
Wouldn’t Recommend
Don’t even bother with this course if you are wanting to put together a good round. The greens were in really bad shape (not because of aeration) and did not roll true. The course has loads of bunkers but they aren’t maintained. Some were nice and packed and others you might as well go to the beach. The only thing that saved this round was the group I got paired with.
Disappointed is an understatement.
This course has always been one of my favorite courses in central florida with a very scoreable layout. I’ve played the course maybe 10 times in the last 4-5 years and it has never been in anything but perfect shape. This time I was greeted with a chipping “green” that barely had any actual grass on it, it was more of a dirt pit. Range not bad. All of the tee boxes were lacking grass and were mostly sand. All of the greens were punched a couple weeks ago and they have taken 0 care of them after. Very bumpy, hard, and inconsistent. Fairways were pretty nice but the rough was non existent, just mostly dirt. I’m hoping to see this course come back, but for $60 I’ll go play somewhere else that is taking care of the course.
dissapoints
So.... finally got a game at FF after many years coming over to FL.
I must admit I was more than a little disappointed. The layout is fine ( I played Blue tee boxes), and even allowing for recent aeration the greens were quite poor and "tacky", the roll never seemed consistent from one green to the next. The blue tee boxes were in poor shape and I am guessing as not many people play the 6473 yards, they don't get much use so it's hard to see why they were so scrubby ?
Plenty of water but not always actually in play off the tee box, fairways were wide and generous but grass was on the longer side. Bunkers however were in really bad shape ( not easy to maintain on 2 fronts I understand,
(1. The heavy Florida rain storms 2. People playing but not even raking them or when they did rake them leaving mounds from incorrect raking)
Played with three good guys, Lester and Greig ( brothers ) and Will. They played white and explained that they play a different game with lots of mulligans and some of the most generous gimmies I have ever seen LOL. ( you keep playing your way guys !! golf ⛳️ should be what you make it in non comps). I played my game and found it after 5 hole's and ended up firing level handicap with a par on the last.
I would however play again.
