About
The 18-hole Falcon's Fire Golf Club in Kissimmee, FL is a public golf course that opened in 1993. Designed by Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead, Falcon's Fire Golf Club measures 7006 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 73.2 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are tifdwarf bermuda and the fairways are bermuda grass.
Falcon's Fire, a Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead signature masterpiece, is typically wide open, however, shot accuracy is essential. Fairways and greens are well bunkered, and water hazards are a common occurrence.

Golfer Reviews
Unfriendly starter
We payed $65.00 for the round and once I went to pay we had a convo eminence fee as well as a course fee on top of taxes. Felt like it was a little misleading. When we went to the first tee the starter was extremely aggressive. He forced us into 2 carts instead of 3. Sometimes that happens we worked that out. But then he proceeded to point out that we stole someone’s tee time and how did we schedule it. Once we confronted him about this he then took the keys from our carts and said he wasn’t going to allow us to play the round. Thankfully the managers on duty came over and stated to let us tee off and play. And to just keep the players who want to play happy. Been playing at this course for over 8 years and we are debating weather we will ever go back.
Nice Course but
I have played this course many times when I come on vacation. To be fair it is a great course just to have a round on whilst on holiday, friendly staff nice layout. The greens were ok the bunkers deep with sand perhaps too much. My issue the round was pace of play and uncontrolled start with no monitoring of play. My tee time was 20 past the hour we checked in and were sent to the range and then to the tee. The issue was no started on the 1st tee people who were due to tee off 40 minutes after my party were on the tee when we got there and no one could stop them going out before us. Then one group of three held the whole course up and no one was monitoring pace of play you ended up with groups going off the course without completing their round due to this. We had an evening appointments and I was worried that we might have to do the same. So good course very good value, nice staff but needs to be better controlled.
Twilight Rate - Excellent Value
Tee box - 3.5/5
Fairway - 4/5
Rough - 3/5
Sand - 3.5/5
Green - 4/5
You won't find a better VALUE than this in Orlando. A little rough around the edges, but for the price it's exceptional. Pace of play was a little slow on the front nine, but the Ranger came out and did an excellent job of getting the slow players moving so we finished in about 4 hours. Keep in mind you must be finished by 6:40pm.
Course in really poor condition. Real shame as the layout is great. Wouldn’t go back in a hurry.
Conditons not improving
This course is not nearly what it was 10 years ago. Condition indicates a need for money to be put into the course. Greens are about a 5 of a scale of 1-10, Just aerated and top dressed, but still too many bare spots and shows incidents of oil having leaked from equipment and left dead grass on the green for a couple of holes. A number of bare spots in the fairways and they don't provide sand with seed to fix divots - another indication of money not available. Seems to have gone downhill since Irma impacted Orlando and flooded many courses. Price for golf in October seems too high and they get very little play because of that - which doesn't help the cash flow. Great pro shop and restaurant, tiny parking lot. The course itself is a great layout. Get the issues fixed with turf and they could charge a premium price again. Problems a lot of course have endured since the pandemic and inability to attract workers and the price of fertilizer skyrocketing with the cutbacks in natural gas processing. I would recommend the course just for the layout and especially if they get all the greens corrected. About 60% have issues that can be fixed, None are in a state of having to be re-done - yet
Incredible value
I’ve played a lot of courses around this area and for the price it’s really nice. Is it perfect? No. But it plays like a much higher priced course. Definitely my go to place.
Great Value
I liked this course the best of any course I played while down there. Recommended to us by an English couple we visited with the night before.
Now its not pristine, but it was easy to get on, priced very well, and the greens were in great shape.
Pace was good even though there were plenty of people golfing.
Watch out for the short par fours. Play an iron to the middle and don't go over the green
Unfair recent reviews
Falcon’s Fire is a quality golf course and in great condition. The price, at present, represents fantastic value. We played as a four ball and completed our round in 3 hours and 40 minutes. The greens, tees, fairways and bunkers are in great shape. It was really disappointing to watch the group in front disrespect the course by walking through and not raking bunkers. The differential in tees is impressive meaning that all members of a group can find an appropriate starting point for each hole. I play off 3, my wife 14 and members of our family 36. We all really enjoyed the course and friendly atmosphere and recommend playing it asap to get a wonderful deal.
The Staff is always on point! Course is both challenging and fair. Will definitely play here again!
Still not the old Falcon’s Fire
I’ve worked on golf courses and played golf courses in Orlando for almost 2 decades, and each year I wish Falcons Fire would return to its true potential - but still no. The reviews below me are not from Orlando golfers. The course is rough around the edges, but still entertaining. Greens were fast, which was fun. Bunkers were concrete or puddles. Rough was deep deep, and it just lacked cohesive terrains. I’ll always give it a chance, but for the same price you can get on Celebration which is always a premium
Returned but disappointed
I have played here in previous years and enjoyed the course. Unfortunately the course has either been over played or let deteriorate from my last round.
Tees very worn, greens very bumpy fairways ok (wet but that’s due to a lot of rain) bunkers dreadful.
Along with what can only be described as hackers holding up the whole course made a painful round. No marshal to try and gee this group up? On one par 4 we had 4 groups waiting to tee off behind them? Counting at least 15 shots that one player played? Surely they must of felt uncomfortable with so many people behind waiting.
This is all a great shame as the layout of the course is great but certainly not worth the green fee at the moment.
Dude 1
First time playing Course, easy to get to , appealing to the eyes, as we drove by the course, will play again when in town
In great shape and a lot of fun
I had a blast playing this course. While most of the fairways are wide and forgiving, a few holes have small greens to increase the challenge. Also, a plus to play a course without homes lining every hole, the natural scenery was pleasant. The course was very wet due to a week worth of rain during the week, but was still in good condition. The greens were consistent from hole to hole, and rolled smooth. I can't wait to go back when things are dried out.
Love this place
Found this course several years ago while in Orlando on business. Now it is a must stop when in Orlando.
Get ready to pay more at the Pro shop
What golf now says you pay at the course and what they charge you is 2 different things. Overall course is good and about wet when we were there. Golf cart path only made it alot longer.
Nice course!
The course was in reasonably good condition for the time of year. It can get wet and can therefore get quite boggy. We were lucky as there had not been too much rain for the time of year. The layout is great with some nice challenging holes. For ladies it is quite long but my wife managed OK. Overall a great round of golf for the money.
