Lely Resort Golf & Country Club - Flamingo Island Course

We got a reduced $100 offer per person on 3 PM on Flamingo course. Everything was perfect. Many 2 person flights so that wr did 18 holes on Flamingo in abt 3 hours. GPS Cart was packed with ice cooled water and complementary tees. Extremely friendly and helpful staff at bag drop zone. Serice cart was on the course and asked if all is fine. We felt 100% taken care of as guests from Germany. Course itself was challanging but fair, very interesting and thoughtful design and in pristine conditions ( especially the greens). All in all highly recommended, no idea what to improve.

Staff from the pro shop to the starters were all very nice, friendly, and helpful. Very nice course layout. Generous fairways. Greens were on the smaller side and whoever set the pins that day must’ve got up on the wrong side of the bed or just felt like punishing people that day. Most, if not all pins, were no more than four paces from the edge, right near a slope, and/or tucked behind a bunker or water. I didn’t mind it but they were not in easy locations. Greens were quick but not too fast, probably 9.5 or so on the stimp. Conditions were good overall. Greens rolled true and never had a bad lie in a fairway, I will definitely items play there again but would wait until a good deal came along. We got a deal for $60 each with a cart online. Regular price $200 so it was a really good deal for a high quality course.

Excellent but very challenging course. Condition was good but not at it's best. Overall 4+ stars. Great value but I got lucky an a GN break on price. A big + is that balls at the range, short game area are included. Bottled water on ice on each cart, towel and tees. Everyone was just great.

Do not take the title of the review wrong. This is a nice course and the staff are great. The course is a wonderful layout and in nice condition. Sam Smead restaurant is interesting with good food, I recommend you have dinner there. The knock we had that day was we were a twosome with a single in front and another twosome in front of him with a threescore in front of them. Plus a single behind us with another twosome behind him. You start to get the idea. Now we did finish just about in 4 hours but the course should truly put people together. I realize some do not want to be but golf brings people from different aspects of life together or it can if you try. A small knock but for some the course could have done better initially, we joined up on our own and that's what helped pace of play. The golf and course itself i highly recommend, although it's pricey.

Great course. I always feel well playing this course. Staff in the office could be more motivated and friendly. They always seem a little reserved, I don't feel welcome entering the pro shop. Starter, service lady that sells beverages on the course and cart guys are great.
