The Flamingo at Lely

Beautiful resort course. Staff were great. Carts were clean and had GPS. Water bottles and ice on the cart a nice touch on a warm day. Stocked pro shop. Greens challenging and smooth. Plenty of water hazards to carry. One significant issue - the bunkers. Plenty of white, soft sand - but there are way too many. They are way too big. And they are located right along most drives landing areas (and greens) - penalizing even decent shots.

Great experience. One of my favorite things about Lely is that you get your own cart and you often get to go out in a twosome. I have no idea why but these hot deals at Lely don't seem to be traditional foursome that you have at other courses. I played with another single, also on a hot deal, on Sunday afternoon. We each had our own cart and played a nice quick round. I really like how it's not foursome after slow foursome at Lely. Prices are always higher but that keeps pace of play faster and smaller groups. Love it.
