About
Unlike many other courses in the state, Scenic Hills Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of rolling hills. In addition to the dramatic elevation changes throughout the course, the holes are sharply framed by towering pines that line the fairways. The holes play to generous putting surfaces that provide a variety of hole placements, but its best to play to the middle of the greens since there are strategically placed bunkers guarding all of the greens. Water hazards also come into play on six holes, but they require only minimal forced carries. Scenic Hills C.C. opens with what is arguably its most challenging holes. The par-4 hole plays downhill to a green that is not only protected on both the left and right with bunkers, but there is also a steep-faced bunker that is not visible from the fairway.

Miss 18 holes but understand
Massive rain closed the back nine. It is supposed to open today. 5th green had a huge bad spot in it.
half closed, rough shape
back 9 is closed due to weather damage - this should be listed on golfnow listing.
greens pretty rough. most sand under repair. This course seems like it could be really nice but I guess I caught it at a bad time.
Slow play
Extremely slow play due to only 9 holes being open. Was not aware of course condition and only 9 holes available until arrival at course.
Needs Work
Played here a few weeks ago after the greens had been punched and sanded so we expected they would be really good by now. We were so wrong! Greens are slow, rough and beaten, and overall disappointing. The bunkers are growing worse each visit. The owners haven't made any attempt to add sand to them so they are predominantly hard pan, and now they have been neglected to the point of grass and weeds beginning to take over many of them. This course needs a solid regimen of herbicide before it gets out of hand. Unfortunately, the course is on the path of several other courses where income isn't reinvested into the upkeep and it suffers in the long run.
Good course.
My only thing about this course is the driving range is in terrible shape. Love the course and teaching pro.
Greens
Never seen the greens in such rough shape. I guess you can get full price for rough green's with no compatiton left in town
Needs some TLC
Course and practice facilities are in dire need of some attention. Couldn’t find grass to hit off of on the driving range and the greens are slow with multiple colors and dirt to them.
Won’t be back here again until some effort is put into it. Course has potential, just needs some TLC.
Great value
Awesome deal on Golf Now for $24/person. Course was in great condition. Greens were aerated, so they were pretty slow.
A 5 some on Saturday morning.? Really??
Super slow due to a 5 some on the course prime time Saturday morning. Who does that. No Marshall in site.
One sided
Showed up to play, and was told they were plugging the front nine, so we had to play the back nine twice. No problem. The fairways had good grass, and the greens were pretty good, just a few spots needed some attention. Still had a great time, and next time I'm in Pensacola I wouldn't mind checking out the front nine. Still better than most courses I play in Louisiana. Thx
Great
Greens are in the best shape. Fast but receptive. If you miss a putt you miss read it. Greens are rolling true.
Great Course Immaculate clubhouse and pro shop
This was a great day of golf. Even though we only got to play 6 holes due to T-Storms. The course was in great shape. Staff very friendly and helpful. I definitely hope to return.
Pro shop was one of the nicest have seen.
Great layout
Excellent course design. Elevation changes and course hazards are challenging but not overly so. Greens in good shape for the most part. I played early so they were still wet and somewhat slow. Pace of play was good, sad to say we were the slow ones but we finished ahead of schedule. Staff was nice and helpful. I'll definitely be back.

Overall it was a great experience as the course is a very good layout and the fairways and green are nice The only knock is the traps as they were in poor conditions
I think they should go ahead and make many of them into grass bunkers
The staff was excellent and I had lunch afterward and the food was really good and the service was excellent.
