Course conditions have gotten worst in the last year lots of tee boxes are not flat and need re sodding hard pan around greens hard to pitch and chip even hard pan in some fairways this is on both courses grow some grass
Great condition
I have played the the Lakes course in a few years wow it’s in great condition and nice layout.
Recently airated, but in otherwise very good condition although tee boxes were a little rough.
Great Course - Great Value
Beautiful, well kept, and very challenging course. They call it the “Lakes” for reason!!! Staff were very friendly & welcoming.
Very nice layout, but bumpy greens
My bro-in-law and I played 18 holes on each course on the same day and really had a great time. We were very impressed with the service, including the pro shop, starter, cart/bag crew, and snack bar. They are quick to load your bags into and out of our cart and direct us where we needed to go. The facilities are very nice, especially the snack bar, which is large with plenty of seating, large TV's, good golf course-type fare, and a wide selection of beer. The practice facility is first rate; however, they've used that particular patch of range grass way too much, and it was very hard to find a good stance or place to hit from. There was plenty of better grass, and it would be nice if they moved the ropes more frequently. The putting green gave us our first glimpse of the only glaring problem this course had: bumpy greens. They weren't slow, but they need to be rolled very badly. I had several good putts knocked offline all day to the point of annoyance. Other than that, the courses were fantastic. Each hole is very different, and the courses have two distinct feels to them. Everything was groomed nicely (except the bumpy greens), and I was impressed by the scenic views and wildlife, including a rat snake, several alligators, large amounts of birds, and even a very friendly racoon who stopped by the tee box to say hi. If you're playing the Dunes, bring your sand game, and if you're playing the Lakes, bring extra balls! The lakes course is short (6255 from the tips), but it is tight with water and sand everywhere. Playing these courses more than once or with someone who knows them would be very helpful as many of the sightlines are hard to guess.
I played here today and the dunes yesterday this was by far the better of the two in my opinion I will be playing again
Rough
Things were a little rougher than I’m used to. Probably a good deal for the price though
Two Courses
My home course and you have an opportunity to play the Dunes or Lake course. The fairways are not forgiving, but it a beautiful course. My son and I play all the time. They have a junior setup that bar none. Please play this course and meet our pros.
Intermediates+ only please!
This is not a beginner course. There is abundant water and sand. It’s a fun course and challenges your dhotmsking. Beautiful too. Love to play here even though sometimes crowdedness and/or slow play.
Good Value
Course is a good value. Challenging layout. This course gets a ton of play so the greens were BEAT up. Same for the tee boxes. Would come back in the summer to see how things heal up.
Fun course to play
Lakes course had a lot of interesting holes. Course was in very good condition. Played blue tees. Pace of play was a bit slow, 4 hours. They have a nice practice chipping area, driving range and putting green. Compared to other public courses in the area, this is the best I have played. Will definitely come back.
