TPC Tampa Bay

Beautiful course- tee boxes, fairways bunkers were all fantastic. Greens were fast but rolled smooth- a few greens had some bare spots but overall were good. Spoke to a few employees there and they are truly truly focusing on getting all those greens perfect.

CA resident visiting, took a look at a lot of options. Figured with the TPC name this would be a great option. For the rates they charge I wish I would’ve known more options as I thought the rate was 2-3 times more than a course of this quality I usually play in CA. The course was in pretty good condition, greens were fast due to the dryness I suppose. Not bad, but not a great course. Staff was super friendly and starter was great. Lastly, plenty of options in the Pro Shop for golf swag

As a TPC course, and a Hot Deal price of $200, I was expecting a tough track with pristine conditions. The course was fairly empty, so we never waited on the front 9. Unfortunately, it took 2 hours because I got stuck with a twosome and a single who was the human rain delay. The course was in good shape, but there were definitely some rough spots on the greens. The practice green was way slower than the course greens, which were super fast. Tough day overall.

Great layout great conditions great staff great facility & great food

The staff was amazing! From the bag drop to the 28th hole! We had a great round (+9 more)! Brooke (and bar crew) and Maddie kept us well hydrated!! The warm up facilities and course were in great condition! Definitely will try to play a few more times to score better and liquify a little less but, we had a blast. Greens were well maintained and rolled true!

Booked a twilight tee time, staff was great showing me around when I showed up early to take advantage of the great practice facilities. Got paired up with 2 members who were very welcoming and fun.

2 - years post renovation/re-grassing I was impressed with the course conditions in its “Return To Glory”. A few greens are a little beat up but not a big deal, didn’t have a bad lie in the fairway or rough all day long, tip my hat to the new superintendent.

Very professional, excellent atmosphere

The starter and pro shop staff were so upbeat and proud of the fact that this course had been updated with new greens and teeboxes just six months ago but the greens were in really poor shape with bald spots, painted green sand, and varying speeds on every green. We were told by the staff that the Stimpmeter was running at an 11 but it was lucky to be at a 9 unless you were rolling your ball over a bald spot which may have hit an 11. Besides the poor condition of the greens, the pace of play was ridiculous as it took us 5 and a half hours to finish a round on a Thursday mid-morning tee time. The staff were extremely slow to respond to slow play and the marshals were non-existent. We called the pro shop twice to help but got no action and finally when the cart person caught up to us we had her call in and finally someone came out. I have no problem paying for a great course and I definitely wasn't put off by the $289 for a round at a TPC because of the usual top notch standards at these flagship courses, but the TPC Tampa Bay was an embarrasment to the TPC brand and a total joke. This was a completely disappointing experience overall. I'd be upset if we had only paid $100 for the round but considering we paid $289 for the round it was an absolute ripoff. I've played many TPC courses and have always been satisfied with the experience but this course is completely mismanaged and in really poor condition for the price. The management team in Ponta Vedra Beach needs to make the four hour drive to Tampa and figure out how to get this course fixed. STAY AWAY AND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

First TPC course I’ve played and it Was a let down. Certainly Not worth the $170 afternoon rate. Design of greens was the best part but the grass could have been in better shape. A few greens had bald spots. Fairways were good. Traps had nice sand but were maintained like a common public course. Pace of play was brutal. Waited on most shots. 4:30 round. I’d play it again for $65 but not again at $100+. Hope we can find something better for tomorrow.

Arrived at the course early to hit the range. The range looked like a mine field. Only 10 spots to hit on the whole range. What was left was dirt to hit off. Got to the starter at 2:05 for my 2:13 tee time. Zero communication from him about who I was to be paired up with. Ended up going off at 2:20. Course conditions were average, but not worth 160 dollars. Too many golfers on the course who sucked. Waited on every tee box. Saw the beverage cart 1 time ion hole 3.

Very nice course and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the course condition when we played was very poor.

Like most Fla courses, they have lots of brown and bare spots.

Nice driving range, balls included. Surprised they had so much play, considering the high prices .

You can tell it gets continuous traffic from all of them ball marks and fairway digits. But it is a memorable TPC layout and offers many course length or tree options.

Course was great and greens rolled beautifully!!
