TPC Tampa Bay can be as challenging as the golfer wants it to be. But be prepared to pay the price for taking the risks. Located just a 20-minute ride from the Tampa International Airport in Lutz, TPC Tampa Bay is open to the public seven days a week. A Bobby Weed design, TPC Tampa Bay is part of a network of courses owned and operated by PGA Tour Golf Course Properties. The fairways have subtle movement and weave through lakes and natural wetlands - 19 in all - and around strategic bunkers that number 81. The greens are large (averaging 6,400 square feet) and undulating, and most are open in the front, offering golfers the option of hitting run-up approach shots. There's a clubhouse and a fully stocked golf shop offering a complete line of equipment and apparel from the top names in golf to complement the course.

We had a great day today at TPC Tampa. Course was in very good condition. Pace of play was excellent. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Course is very playable. Huge greens with lots of bunkers. Lots of collection areas to punish you if you miss the greens. We will definitely be back again

I wouldn't recommend

I've played many of the TPC courses and this one was one I would pass on for the future. Its TPC in name only. Played 13 holes and quit because pace of play was poor. Course staff offered to let us play the front nine again....not a fan of paying that kind of money to play the same nine twice. We played with two others and all of us thought the golf course was in marginal condition. Member on the range prepared us for the condition, so we knew what was coming. Staff was friendly, but all-in-all, save your money.

Not what I was expecting

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The course just seems tired and need a some updating. The day we played the course was packed all day until 3pm straight. When we arrived we found out they had run out of carts and wouldn’t have one until right before our tee time. so we walked over to the range to hit balls only to find that there was about 10 stalls that had no grass, terrible Pinnacle range balls, and 10+ people waiting to hit. They have a huge range why were they only using this little area on a busy day. The pace of play was bad, we were waiting on the group in front of us all day and it was a 5 hour round. The greens we in BAD condition, either baked out or half dead. I have played other TPC courses that were a great all around experience but this was by far the worst one for the money. We played at the twilight rate and even at the rate the course/experience didn’t justify the price.

TPC is in great shape!

I have played this course numerous times. The course was in great shape and we enjoyed our round in about 4 hours and 20 minutes.

The course wasn't in terrific shape in the summer. However, the amount of rain made it a challenge for every course in the area.

The restaurant food is very good.
