TPC Tampa Bay

I've played TPC many times , overall it's good but I do think they play on there tpc status the general price is high for what you get !! But that said it's always worth playing, on day of playing as a 2 ball i took my wife for Valentine’s day ( her first time at tpc ) we had a nice pace of play , we could always see group in front but it never really bothered us and I was level par though 9 !! Then on 10th had to wait and it didn't change after that !! It seams they allowed a 6 ball to play !! ? who in turn. Held up a 4 ball who held up the 2 ball in front of us !!! As all good golfers know pace of play is good for your game ( 12 over on back !!! ) so this really spoilt the day / experience

The layout is nice some interesting holes and can be fair but some holes you do have to think !! Personally if your paying top price you can get better for less !!! Both courses at world woods ! Or if you really want something special try Southern hills plantation golf and country club!!! This course is amazing!!! 16 17 18 are probably some of the best finishing holes !! You won't be disappointed !

6 handicap, good test of golf and excellent course. Started a bit late and pace of play was ok. Definitely worth playing while your in the area

I expected a highend course , but got a course beyond my expectations. I am a 14 handicapped player and found the course player friendly with a good deal of difficulty. I just wish I could play it more often. The staff was friendly and helpful. They made me feel just as important to them as they treated the ex-professional ball player. Go out to the TPC and treat yourself to a great round of golf.

I had been told the course wasn't in the best shape or high on the TPC rankings. However, it was in excellent shape tee to green and a really enjoyable track.

I would play here again in a heartbeat.

Played the course today in chilly conditions but it got warmer as we played. I have played a lot of TPC course which stands for tournament players club. However this was one of the nicest, I understand that TPC sawgrass and TPC Boston are better but this is by far the best course in Tampa. The weather during the spring is so nice and the weather is almost always good here mix in great course conditions and great facilities it's one of a kind.

The clubhouse was nice especially the locker room which was big and spacious, and the staff was very nice and had a smile on there face. The driving range was big and really liked the practice chipping area. The course itself was very nice and had a lot of deep bunkers and the greens where really fast. The marshal, drove around and checked on us multiple times. My favorite hole was 13 but the finishing stretch was really full of great holes.

After your round I recommend going shopping in the clubhouse and eating lunch in the clubhouse. The food was very good and the off the course ammenities are great and there is lots to do around the town.

Cannot say anything bad about this course from tees, fairways, greens, practice facility to pace of play. However the normal cost throughout the year is ridiculously high....but when I can find a way to get a reduced cost I would never pass it up. If there is one thing I would ,ask them to do it would be to set up senior tess at about 5500-5700.

Course is relatively flat, in housing development, and in great condition. Played through 1 group, so essentially had the first tee time so reasonably speedy. Was on a trip with World Woods and Streamsong, so course suffers in comparison. WW in particular is a much better value.

Despite being a $100 round, it is great value for the money. The green are terrific, the staff friendly and the layout is great. If I ever get back to Tampa I will golf there.

Try to play TPC Tampa everytime I come to Florida. The course is superb. Pace of play is very good. It is in great condition and the Club is consistently improving it, recently with renovated bunkers and bridges. The pro shop and outside staff are welcoming and helpful. Truly a great experience.

Pace of play was what stood out most to me. There was a fivesome playing two groups ahead that slowed things down considerably.

Greens were probably the biggest differentiator from other courses I have played in the area. They were in great shape and were very fast....what you'd expect from a TPC course.

About half the tee boxes were covered in sand. Made it very uncomfortable to tee off, even with new spikes.

The difference in price was not justified...IMO

Played as a twosome in well less than 4 hours. Coarse was immaculate. Greens rolled so smooth and not killer fast. Holes were usually guarded by sand traps in driving area. Several holes with uphill greens where a short approach shot would come all the way back down the hill. We ate breakfast before and lunch after and both were delicious. Pro shop was extremely well stocked. Each staff member we encountered was friendly and very helpful. Just a pleasant day. We showered afterwards in the locker room. Used Nicklaus and Palmer lockers!

Worth the price. Tough but fair

Tbis course is amazing. Pretty tough when you play back 2 sets of tees. Well maintained from tee to large greens. GPS in cart. If you are looking for high maintenance course that is plush, this is it.

To be a Tpc course it had low standards. I guess you can spend the money and call yourself a Tpc course. The course layout was ok not nothing to be impress about. Luckily it was a hot deal cause it wasn't worth it too me. Will not play this course ever again. Should not be a Tpc course

I was glad I finally had the chance to play TPC Tampa Bay, regarded among the best daily-fee facilities in the area. While World Woods and Innisbrook's terrain may be a little cooler, TPC really maxes out its property with a tour-tested layout and great off-course amenities. It certainly helped my experience that I went out at the crack of dawn with two friendly members and played pretty dang well.

The design is what you'd expect from a TPC: lots of variety and plenty of water hazards and bunkers. Strategy is certainly needed here., I lost some balls, but in most spots, there is a bailout area. A few tee boxes were being redone on the back nine, but it looked like they were being sodded when we passed and should be back in play by the peak fall months. The greens meanwhile rolled really nicely.

While there may be more interesting course layouts in the area, I think you'll have a hard time finding a better parking lot-to19th-hole product open to the general public in the destination, and the routing, while lacking any undulation change, does have its scenic areas and plenty of wildlife.

Love this course. Great layout and good selection of tee's for different levels. Some minor work on a couple of tee's and one fairway but still in great condition.

Aside from the slow play caused by following the member/member event around the course, this place was awesome. Good mix of scoring holes early, with a tough finish. I will be back for sure the next time I'm in the area.
