Lakes at Indian Creek Golf Course
About
Only two holes lack water on Indian Creek Golf Club's Lakes Course, designed by Dick Phelps three years after the Creek Course opened. No. 9 is the best hole, playing 453 yards with water coming into play off the tee and the approach. A pond protects the left bend of the dogleg and extends to the green. Bogey isn't bad on this difficult par 4.

Great greens!!! Photo submitted by Bogeyking3431 on 05/03/2013
Sadly disappointing.
Unfortunately, the Creeks side now resembles the Lakes side. The fairways and the tee boxes are rutted, are uneven and very lean on grass. I realize it is early in the season but the Creeks side needs work. The bunkers were dirt not sand and I will no longer play either course.
Lakes Course better than 2012.
Still needs better drainage, greens and tee boxes.
Well Maintained
It was the first time I played here and did not know what to expect. I found the course to be in good condition for the time of year. The layout is very enjoyable and will be back .
Terrible shape
Played the Lakes Course. Fairways are terrible, tee boxes are fair, sand bunkers are ok, greens were very good. Please tell mgmt to close the Lakes Course and rework the Fairways, they are distracting from what would be a good course.
Cold Morning, nice course.
Played the Creek. Driving accuracy at a premium. Greens are true and well conditioned. I over-read the break consistently, but that was likely me, not the course.
Worth the trip
Course is in good shape with overseeded fairways. It's nice to play from green grass this time of year. Easy course to walk. Bunkers are pretty inconsistent, from darker looking dirt mix to very fine white sand. Cart girls are always around. Don't waste time going back the clubhouse at the turn. It's not convenient, as the twosome in front of our threesome found out when they got jumped.
Needs TLC
Found this course on a list of "Best Public Courses in Dallas". Not sure why though. The greens were in poor condition, and every fairway was brown and dead. It was like they just gave up maintaining the course.
pleasant experience on a beautiful day.
my scores above do not represent my experience. I could not get the slides to work properly.
Course difficulty - above average in difficulty
Course conditions - average for this time of year
Staff friendliness - very friendly
Good value for the money./
Had fun and paid a fair price
An above average course, well maintained and a good price of $40 on the weekend for the lakes course.
Good course and friendly staff
Great day at the course for winter golf. A little busy but the first nice day in a couple of weeks so it was expected.
Great staff, fun course.
I enjoy a course where the staff is friendly and polite and that is what you get here. The tree lined fairways and abundance of lakes make this a fairly challenging course but not overly so if you can control the ball off the tee. Overall, this is a course will stay on my list of courses that provide good value and are a joy to visit.
Great condition for time of year, greens in good shape.
Great round, not too slow . Pro shop friendly and helpful.
Great Course, But Not An Easy Course
Course is not for the high handicap golfer. The greens are extremely fast with lots of ridges running through them The staff is great, the upkeep is great and it is one of the best public access courses in Dallas One drawback as there was not a starter on duty and people were slipping in ahead of people with tee times which slowed the play. Also, no marshalls were on the course to speed play.
Awesome for a municipal course
Overall the course was in excellent condition. I played the lake course and plan to go back to play the creek course. Very friendly staff and the course was manicured perfectly for the month of December. Cart girls were great and came around often, and not to mention easy on the eyes. Was an awesome experience.
Good Round
The Lakes course was in good shape. The pace of play was very good. I plan to get back there soon.
December Golf @ Indian Creek - Creek Course Worth It
Played Indian Creek GC - Creek Course 12/2/12. It was last minute planning, but was able to get a discounted tee time (9% discount) for 8:24 AM on a Sunday morning approximately 1.5 hours before. AWESOME!!! Course was in very good condition with overseeded fairways and fast smooth greens. Having played quite a bit at Indian Creek it was nice to see that they doing some work to clean up areas of the course, replace carts, rework bunkerrs, rehab bridges, and overall clearing of brush areas on the course. It will pay off when the Spring and Summer arrive.
Great Value and layout
Greens very fast and a great layout. We walked and it was great price of just 43 dollars
Need to fix the bunkers, Three types of sand around greens: Sand, Dirt sand , and Dirt. give me a chance to get out
Played the Creek. Great course Great layout will always play at this course again. Greens, fairways were in good condition but there is a need to fix the bunkers, Three types of sand around greens: Sand, Dirt Sand, and Dirt. If they maintain one of the three that is fine but 3 different types are not fun
greens are tough! but in good shape
this is a pretty tough course but the greens are really almost unfair. Its almost hard for them to put the flag on the green that you can 2 putt
Course was in fair condition...
Course had some areas that were soft due to recent rains. Course should have been cart path only due to marshy areas on the course. Overall I enjoyed the course. Greens were in good shape.
