About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

A gem of a course
Finally got the chance to play the course and was not disappointed. I played as a single and was paired up with a father and his two sons. Everyone from the pro shop attendant to the course marshals were pleasant and helpful.
Odd thing was the restaurant was closed on a holiday weekend at the beginning of the summer season.
Disappointed
Drove from Miami to stay and play with my wife on our way to New Orleans. The course was nice but the accommodations need a lot of help. The cottages need extreme updating. The kitchen was also closed on both Monday and Tuesday while we were there. What a shame!

Would have been a great round but…
The ranger on the first tee was rude, disrespectful, and started our round off in a terrible way. He rides around yelling out tee times… and then says “next”. I asked him what time it was and he replied - your next. I asked him again for the time… as I wanted to grab a water and a snack (we had 12 minutes before our tee time)… and he said next. What a rude, unnecessary thing to get you ticked off to start a nice day,
The course is good, pretty tight, and lots and lots of water. GPS in carts is fine. The range balls were very, very old and not a representation of what you can expect to hit on the course. Greens were in pretty good shape and the bunkers were in really poor shape.

Good value
The course layout is fine. Most fairways and greens are playable. The practice area and bunkers are well below average. Windy days can be very challenging. Overall, you get what you pay for.

Perdido Bay customer service non-existent
Course is in pretty good shape. However, aside from the starter, everyone from the young guys at clubhouse check-in to the waitress at the grill to the cart girl on the course really needs some customer service training - even just basic training would have made our day a bit more enjoyable. It really seemed like no one had any interest in us being there.

First time….great time
My wife and I loved the course. Staff was friendly. Started right on time. Fairways were generous and well kept. Biunkers we’re ok, but some were a little ragged, but plenty of sand in them. Greens rolled a little slow and some were just a bit sketchy, but not bad enough to downgrade the course. Back nine has a lot of character holes. Very good value for the money. We did not use the restaurant, so that is why we just gave it a 3.

Nice course
This course is by far better than any courses S.H., M.P., S.B., we play often. Live in G.B. so about 45 minutes to an hour drive. Well worth the drive to play on fairways with grass on em.

Overpriced
This a decent middle-of-the-road course. I played numerous times in January and February. At least 3 of the times I played, it was cold & blustery and was not even close to being a reasonable price. Lower your price and get more golfers.
