About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

Needs alot of work
Very disappointed with this course. Greens were ok, but if you missed a green, you were chipping off black dirt. Same in the fairways. Almost every fairway we had to move our ball to find green grass/weeds to hit from. I realized there hasn't been much rain lately, but water them then. We payed $90, expected a bit more
In Need
Course is interesting enough and challenging but is in need of some TLC. Greens rolled ok but were rough in places.
Great layout
I’m a 5 handicap. Tee to green this course is a great layout. Fairways have plenty of grass with hardly any bad lies. Bunkers are decent. Very ample fairways, but lots of water challenges sometimes making a driver not the best choice of club off the tee. Greens have excellent coverage with very little poa annua. To me greens are the single most important variable that can make a difference between a course being average, when everything else is great, or great when everything else is average. These greens have some spots of common Bermuda mixed in with what I speculate is a hybrid dwarf Tifton Bermuda and could be really great with just a little extra work. There are spots of common Bermuda mixed in with the Tifton. It makes those parts of the green very grainy and affects not only break but the roll. In other words, inconsistent. I love the layout, the people are warm and welcoming. Get rid of the common Bermuda, verti-cut the greens, and you’ll have a course that’ll make my top 5 in the Flora-Bama area. Still a fun course. 4 stars.
Nice Course - Water Everywhere
Very nice course and easy to play (if you hit it straight, of course). Fun to play with friends and family.
All around great experience
Everything about this facility was impressive. The range was wide open and there were multiple chipping and putting greens, avoiding crowding. The Marshall/Starter got us out on time and we played without delay for the whole 18. The tees greens and and fairways were all in great shape. There were plenty of trees and water making the course challenging. Green side bunkers made accuracy around the greens important but the sand in the traps was soft and deep allowing for realistic bunker shots, not skipping along the hard sand like other courses. We had a great outing.
Very nice course, .
nice greens but were sliwer than usual. Was very windy.
Perdido
Booked thru Golf Now & told it would be 90.00 for 9 holes for me & my wife. It was more than that when we arrived - guess Golf Now is not accurate - not going to do that again
Excellent Course
The course was in great shape for this time of year. The traps could use some work. Pace of play was good.
Fun in the sun
Second time back, knew the course better, played better and weather was perfect! Just in a few days the fairways were getting greener and more plush. Very enjoyable round of golf. We are from Michigan and we were pretty excited to see your alligator.
jimbo 26 feb
Course is nice but with no Marshall the round took over 5 hours due to 1 slow slow group.
Also no restroom on the front. So the ladies had to use the restroom on the turn and the group behind us wanted to play thru but we were on the tail of the group in front
Cannot take the carts into the parking lot but that seems to be the norm in fl
Will not play this course next year
Quality but challenging
Very nice course. Greens were in good shape. Lots of Water and sand traps to make it quite challenging. We enjoyed our round of golf and will be going back to try and better our scores
course was in good shape for Feb. and the greens were perfect. great value
Interesting Layout
The course has a lot of water but it's mostly on the sides of the fairways which are fairly wide. The starter was most helpful with hints on the holes. It's still early in the season so the grass hasn't grown in yet. The greens were in decent shape.
