About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

Aeration
Greens had been aerated earlier in the week. Did not see an alert on GN.
Great value for well maintained course
Course was in excellent condition, especially for mid August. First time playing Perdido Bay, pleasantly surprised by this “user friendly” golf course. Wide fairways, challenging water hazards and pot bunkers made a memorable round of golf. Our golfers skill levels ranged from veteran to beginner yet all had nothing but positive reviews. Only negative criticism would be the fairways needed to be cut shorter and greens were slow.
Excellent older course
This course was obviously at one point a leading course in the area. Great former golfers played the Pensacola Open when it was played there. The thought of Jack Nicholas, Arny, Watson, Jerry Pate and many others competing on this course is pretty cool. I played the tips. I recommend playing the tips. It gives you a fair test of golf. For the money I thought it was a great deal and the course was in good condition. I highly recommend it.
Good Course
Great course for the money. Friendly staff. Bunkers need some attention. They were not playable at all. Greens and course in great condition for the price. Staff was very friendly. Overall satisfied.

course in great condition, friendly staff, cold water coolers on many holes and refreshment cart in course. most comfortable carts ive had with gps. My only negative is that the bunkers really need tob freshened with a decent layer of sand. otherwise, excellent.
Disappointed, poor shape. Play somewhere else.
This is the worst course I have played in aong time and certainly the worst ever that I paid $45 to play Tee boxes were in bad shape and not cut - the grass was sometimes higher than your ball on a tee. Transitions from cart path to grass were rough. Fairways were not mowed to fairway height but more like first cut of rough. Greens were very slow and fuzzy, ball would hit a different grain and change directions. Holes were poorly cut with grass hanging over the edge. Only positive on the course was the pace of play - maybe because few people play such a poor course. We were advised to play this by locs over another course I played a couple days earlier. They were SO wrong. I should have replayed the other course at lower cost. It was much nicer.
Single player
Great course. But I was a single and they made me share a cart with a stranger. Who does that? Lost 2 stars because of that. If I’m a single ever again I’ll play somewhere else.
Course was in good shape. Fairways were great. Will absolutely recommend and play again
Great Course. Challenging, yet fun.
Played the course with my two sons. We are mid handicappers. The proximity of water on most holes caused us to use up a good supply of our balls. Carts were great with GPS and course layout.
We had a blast. Summer heat caused us to loose some gusto for the round, but overall was a blast and will play here again.
Beautiful Course!!
My son and I really enjoyed playing Perdido Bay Golf Club today! The course is in fantastic condition, it’s a great layout, and the staff were super friendly! We will definitely play this course again on one of our future beach trips!
