About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

Golfer Reviews
Great course, winter conditions but good .
Greens had been fertilizer, so conditions were to be expected.
Speed of play was fine until we caught a group of 5, then slow. Luckily only the back nine.
Will do this course next year.
Perdido Bay
Course was in good condition for the winter we've had. Greens were excellent. Restaurant and bar were modestly price and selection was good. Staff was all very friendly.
Average
Winter time average. Too many other courses in the area better
Well Kept for this time of the year
The course was in good shape for this time of the year. The greens were fair and fast and true to the read. The fairways were in good shape and easy to hit if you can hit the ball straight. Would be nice to know the layout of the land before shooting though. The pace of play was good considering the course was packed - a little over 4 hours for a round of 18 with a foursome.
Tee time error
On line tee time confirmed as 8:50. Upon arrival was told it was10:30. Pro shop staff insisted it was my fault and my problem even though I had my confirmation on my phone. Also had to follow 5 from the local dogfight which finished 3 holes behind the group in front of them. Love the course (except for #10) and have never had an issue there in the past.
Great course. Challenging but fair
Great course to play. Water comes into play on several holes but not too dangerous. Course is forgiving in that you can hit a not so great shot and not be penalized too bad. There are a few holes with forced carries and you have to decide to lay up or challenge yourself to fly the trouble. Overall a fun place to play. If you are luck you may see a few deer on the course while playing
I can see how this was a Tour course
The course is very challenging but a great track. Great conditions for winter, a few sandy areas here and there and the bunkers need more sand but overall in great shape. Solid layout with lots of water, when the wind picks up it’s a serious challenge. Treat #10 as a short par five, it’s the only odd hole on the course. Greens roll well and at a good pace not overly fast. Played 3 times recently and each around was about 4hrs, great pace despite being busy. I will be playing here again.
This place is going down.
I have played here a lot over the years and this place is trending downward. Uptight people in the pro shop. At one time I aways saw regulars at the bar/dining area, place is empty now. The tee boxes are dead rotten grass. They charged me $25 for my wife to ride in the cart. I probably will go someplace else and pay more for a better course. Even the marshal has to give you a 15 minute lecture before you can tee off, then yells you folks need to get going...
A++ course
I’ve become a regular here at Perdido bay GC. I play here every weekend and there’s no where else I’d rather be. The staff are very friendly, the prices are very affordable for military members such as myself, and the conditions are always good. Greens are kept in really nice shape always. The wildlife you see here is incredible. You will see deer, gators, ducks, squirrels, and other friendly creatures throughout your round. I suggest this course to anyone who is thinking about playing here!
Beware!
I posted this out to a staff member after playing: there is a sand rake adjacent to one of the green-side bunkers on # 11 which has a handle made of fiberglass. Unfortunately I chose this one to rake the bunker, and got a fistful of tiny glass fragments, like splinters, in my hand. PLEASE THROW THIS RAKE IN THE TRASH before someone else gets the same experience as me. Thanks!
