About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

Go play!
Course in good shape. Recent mowing of high rough has left windrows of dried hay, which can hide your ball if unlucky enough to hit into them.
Looks like the course needs a lot of up keep. The grass on the greens were too long .
Greens bumpy and very slow for Florida
The greens were aerated and top dressed three weeks ago but they were bumpy and didn’t look like they had been cut for a day or two so they were very slow. Always fun to play this course, risk/reward shots, hopefully the greens will straighten out this Fall.
Over Priced
For condition of this course it is way over priced. Greens rough, slow need rolling. They have let fairway grass get little tall and have not removed clippings. Can’t believe they still have GPS on carts. They treat GolfNow customers second class. Really like layout and location of this course wish they took better care of it and was priced lower.
Just and OK course
Nothing crazy exciting about the course. Tee time was 10:30 and arrived early. Pace of play was good at first but got super backed up by hole 11. The tee boxes… lots of weeds. Had read about it on other reviews before and thought it wouldn’t be so bad but really bad for $65 golf! Our cart battery died by hole 9 but couldn’t have just been a bad cart. Hardly any shade so don’t hVe to worry about trees but still lots of water. Greens were fine. Overall not worth the discounted price on GOLFNOW.
Always a pleasure
Course in good condition. I felt the greens could be better, but overall, they were pretty fair. Will continue to play there.
Not to expectations
This was my first time playing this course and it has so much potential! The layout is good with some holes that are challenging. However, the course is not groomed regularly - it appeared to not have been mowed for a couple of days. The grass was over-grown on the tee box, the greens looked good but we’re super slow with no breaks due to the grass not being cut, and crab grass is apparent. Wouldn’t recommend this course to an avid golfer, but it’s good for someone who wants to play a decent course for a low price ($60).
Big improvement
Since that last time I played here, which has been a while, course conditions have really improved. Worth the price.
This course was demanding off the tee but a fun challenge!!
Loved the setup. The course allowed you to play many different clubs and forced you to play golf not just go for it. If you played smart you could keep a good score going.
The greens were really nice but other than that the course was rough. The tee boxes weren’t cut. Just not a well maintained course.
Would play again
First time playing here and I have to say, it was a good course overall, just some minor glitches. Like on Hole 3 and 7, we were told that it was cart path only but the car path ended 100 yards from the tee box and I didn't know where the rest of the cart path was. Needless to say, I had to drive in reverse a couple of times. I would like to play again when we don't have standing water in the fairways and the bunkers have been fluffed (compacted when we played).
A delight
Probably the best public course conditions in the Pensacola area right now...go play!
Course was not in prime condition because of a lot of rain lately but it was OK.
