Perdido Bay Golf Club
About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

Golf at Perdido Bay
Value was excellent and course layout was fun. Pace of play was good and we enjoyed our day
Good value
Had played a couple of weeks ago, and the back nine got really backed up. No issues today, perhaps some event or something. Greens rolled great, tee boxes are in good shape and fairways are lush. Sand traps, and there are more than a few, are not as good, though they are well maintained. Redo those things and this would be a resort style course! Enjoyed it!
Course
It was a good experience, the course was in generally good condition, the GPS in the carts helped reading the distances, course Service attended often, I give the overall club and course experience a B + .
The course is the best condition course I have played on in many years. Excellent.
Course is in great shape
Winter conditions officially gone! Greens, for the most part are great...some better than others, but improvement continues.
Perdido Golf course
Played last week and really enjoyed the course. This was our first time there and we plan on coming back.
Great course for the price
The course is well balanced. It has some high and low and medium handicap holes. I really enjoyed it booked it again tomorrow great value for the money.
Avg course
hard to say what a good course is in this area being from Indy, the staff and practice areas were great, i didn't think the value was the best and we couldn't leave a ball mark on the greens from any distance. But everything else was good.
Nice layout with good drainage
We arrived an hour early as first time at course and did not want to be late. Explanation was good about putting green, range and directions. We got loaded up and stood around a few minutes. No one on first tee so we teed off. Played 14 holes in two hours and came upon a group that must of been playing $100.00 a hole. Took over an hour for last 4 holes. We would definitely play course again. Ranger was attentive and beer cart gal was very nice.
Best course in the area for price
I always love to come to Perdido bay. The staff are always helpful and go the extra mile to make you comfortable. I have played here at least 20 times and have never had a bad experience.
THE BEST!!!
I played terribly all throughout the round! Course is in good shape.
When I got home after driving 30 minutes, I realized I did not have my wallet! So...at 7:00 in the evening, I drove back to the course. Fortunately there were still some young guys working in the cart barn and one of them had found the wallet and secured it in the office. I returned early this morning and retrieved the wallet...many thanks to Keaton!! My faith in humanity has been re-affirmed!!!
Day with husband
We’ve been golfing here all Fall, Winter and Spring using Golfnow and today when we arrived. about 45 minutes early the starter said we couldn’t tee off till 15 minutes before tee time. Course had absolutely no one teeing off and from where we travel to get there hard to know about traffic. Anyway, we putted and killed our time, but still thought this Starter was a bit on the rude side saying we only paid $33 and if wanted to start early we’d have to go inside and pay the $65 rate. Play was fine until caught up to a group of 5 that teed off at the time we arrived. We decided to pass them and same Starter/Marshall asked if everything ok. We later saw him cleaning golf balls he found on the course. He was working with another guy in the beginning, so maybe that is why so tough on our start time. All the other Starters this past 7 months were very nice and helpful. Course is nice and we do enjoy it just felt he took his job a bit to the extreme on start time when no one around or even close to tee off time. Felt like he had an attitude towards folks booking with GOLFNOW.
After the storm
Course was in great shape. Bunkers had some water in them. After the storm. Only problem I ever had there was pace of play. It’s really good, or very bad. If it was more consistent. Would be one of the top courses in the area.
Meh
Was very excited to play it for the first time after reading the reviews. Unfortunately it failed to meet expectations. Slow pace of play. 5 hour round. Greens rolled well but some where splotchy, most were dried out and turning brown. Fairways were somewhat thin and just ok. Overall not worth the 1.5 hour drive.
