Perdido Bay Golf Club
About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

Nice Course but bring something to eat with you
My wife & I enjoyed the course however the lavatory g=facilities were a mess. The clubhouse is not set up to expedite a hot dog & a beer at the turn. The hot dog was cold and the bun was stale. The staff seemed confused that we came in for a snack at the turn. will play the course again but I will bring my own food & snacks.
Keep it in Play
You'll have plenty of fun if you can keep the ball in play (thanks Mr. Obvious) The holes are challenging but fair.
You are rewarded for making smart shots
Interesting but challenging course
You need to keep your eyes open constantly on this course as there is water everywhere! I landed in an unnoticed pond on the back of a green just because I hit my chip a little heavy. It rolled across the green, down a hill, and plopped in the pond.
Still, if you can hit the ball somewhat straight, you should be okay.
Tough course
For us high handicap golfers, it's a good test even from the forward tees. But enjoyable anyway..
Good Layout
Course has a good layout. Some water can create difficulty, but generally easy to get around. Course is in great condition. It was windy the day we played. The price was very fair, and the staff was very friendly.
Nice course
Enjoyed my round a lot. First timer and it was well worth the money. Liked the lay out but my wife didn't like that there were not more places to use the facilities. The one rest area there was was in disrepair. Clubhouse staff really wasn't friendly but the restaurant staff was. Got a hot dog at the turn which was overpriced and not good still the people I met while playing were great and overall did enjoy it
Nice course
Enjoyed playing this course. The layout is good. The only criticism I can offer would be the sand traps. There’s no sand. They were in bad condition so our group decided to take a free drop out of all sand traps.
The Golf Now Hot Deal made this course a good value. I’m just not happy about the management here who decided that Golf Now participants must wait until there scheduled tee time. Not that there’s anything wrong with waiting but when there was no one teeing off for 45 minutes prior to our scheduled tee time and we were told we must wait until the exact tee time. We were told the Perdido Bay Golf Course management directed that Golf Now players must wait! If they want to be childish, I’ll take my business elsewhere.
