About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

Good challenge
Course was a nice challenge. Friendly staff. Excellent pace of play.
Worth taking a look.
Nice variety of holes
Generous off the tee. Enjoyed the variety and varying difficulty of the holes. Greens were smooth but slow. Hurricane Sally wreaked havoc on some trees on the course, some of which has not been cleaned up yet. Fringe areas of the course are not maintained well. Carts are equipped with GPS which was helpful.
Nice course
Pace of play was really good! Course was in good shape. Greens were cut a little high so they were very slow. Premium for hitting the ball straight.
Staff was friendly.

Course, for the time of year, was in good shape. Enjoyed the layout, challenging as much as you want.
Sub par golf
Staff was great, very friendly all around. Pro shop and bar was decent and the golf carts were nice. And the greens weren't too bad. Pretty smooth rolling about an 8 maybe sold 7.
Other than that everything else was kinda bland. Obviously there was a hurricane that went through not too long ago and some trees were down that they were working on. I'm not counting that. The course design was very repetitive. Pretty much the same holes back and forth. Nothing really jumps out at you as a signature hole or anything.
The surroundings aren't much to brag about with some fairly rough looking yards and houses. Tees boxes and fairways were ok but it is still early spring and not sure the grass has had time to fill in yet. However one tee box wasn't moved.
I got a hot deal on golfnow for $33 but I wouldn't want to pay anymore than that.
Great course
Great and challenging. Several greens with water across the approach. GPS was an added perk..
Horrible shape
I haven’t seen this course in that bad of shape since I’ve been playing here. Staff was just a couple of kids kicked back with no care in the world it seemed. Just unprofessional. Most of the tee boxes were like playing in the sand.
