About
Challenge the Savannahs. On the windward side of Merritt island lies one of the most unique golf courses on Florida's Space Coast. The 6,450 yard Gordon G. Lewis design winds through majestic hardwood forests, natural wetlands, and scenic lakes to reveal protected, undulated greens. Nine holes are framed by a natural savannah conservation area, bordered by hammocks with a high canopy of trees and coastal flatwoods. Water, in the form of natural wetlands and manmade lakes, comes into play on thirteen holes. The course boasts several unforgettable holes, such as the 525-yard, par 5 Signature 7th, regarded as one of the most challenging holes in Central Florida. This beautifully tight, typically southern course features six sets of tees, making play ideal for beginners and pros. The back tees are demanding even for the best of the best, while our new “Family Tees” are playable by anyone who wants to tee up. Prepare for your round by warming up on our practice facilities that include: unique aqua range, chipping and bunker area, and full-sized practice putting green. Look around during your visit, and you will notice nature's splendor on display. Our preserve features many water birds, birds of prey, reptiles, and low country mammals that make the savannahs their home. The fairways additionally offer a great view of the nearby Cape Canaveral rocket launches. Our southern plantation styled Clubhouse is a great place to start and end your day at The Savannahs. Inside you will find a golf shop, plus a bar and grill with great food and hospitality to match. Or, wander outside to the veranda overlooking the aqua range and golf course to catch the sunset.

Electronics are great but sometimes very annoying.
Great place to eat. Retail part is well done. The pace was affected by the messages received from the electronic part of the golf cart stating that we were 7 minutes behind, but how can you advance if the players in front of you are slow? You need a marshal to assist and assist regarding to what is causing the pace to be slow.
Great course
Play Savanah every time we vacation in this area. Great course, great price.
Nice Layout
Nice layout. Greens could be better as they are bumpy and tough to get a consistent roll. Fairways are inconsistent from hole to hole
Delayed tee off, which meant we didn’t finish…unfortunate, as 17 is a good par 3, and 18 probably the best hole on the course…stuck behind too many people reading greens from every angle…and holing NOTHING…
Marshall needed
A father and his young son slowed the pace to a crawl on the back nine. Front nine was 2hr 15min and the back nine was 3hrs. Consider having a marshal and/or adding an acknowledgment from each group at check-in that they must not lose sight of the group in front of them. You don’t have to play well - but you have to be prepared to play reasonably fast. Slow play from one group can ruin an otherwise great experience at your facility.
Lazy pin setter
This course is a bit rough around the edges, but the fairways and greens were fair to good for the price we paid. The pin setter at this course needs to learn to tamp down the sod around the hole after cutting the hole. Probably 75% of the holes on the greens were like a "volcano" with the sod around the hole raised up 360 degrees around the hole. We had a lot putts that veered right or left a few inches from the hole, or stopped quickly just before falling into the hole. When looking closely at the hole you could see the raised area. Some training is needed in this area.
Busy time of year, the course staff keeps things moving. The greens are slow and some are rough. The course has a good cart girl
Too slow
Didn’t manage to finish, too dark for the last 2 holes, which was disappointing.
Won’t be rushing back,albeit the course was in better condition than last time we played it.
Just ok
Nice course that has been neglected, very little fairway grass, thin and hard to hit off off. Greens not maintained well at all. The price was great though!
Entire front 9 was extremely wete
Fairways were in poor condition and the greens were very slow. Nice layout but course need lc.
Bit wet, slow greens
Around the greens it was sloppy, wet, so gained no roll...ball just stopped, frustrating and there was no rain preceding our game. Fairways were ok and traps were groomed. The pace of play was fine and all else was good.
