Moderate
Fairways need work. Slow greens as they are overseeded.
Awful
The worst course I've ever seen!! If this place is open in the next year I'd buy a powerball ticket . The smartest people were the gentleman playing poker in the locker room
No playable should not be listed
Awful course. Greens are full of weeds. Fairways are dead. Tee boxes don't exist. 100% should not be listed as a public option to play, if the members want to pay there it's one thing. But to charge the public to pay there is robbery! Payed for 18 holes and didn't even make it 5. Total waste of money and time. TAKE OFF THE LIST!!
Worse Shape Imaginable
Booked the course last minute online. Showed up at 8:45 at the clubhouse and was asked, "Have you been here before?" I replied it was my first time. The clubhouse manager said, "Before you pay, I'll warn you, the course is not in good shape." I appreciated the candor (very nice gentleman), but figured I'd give it a shot since I had driven an hour from Orlando.
He was not kidding. The course was unplayable. Tee boxes were a mess, the greens were totally unkept. Every hole was a goat pasture. Literally the worst course I've even set foot on, by a wide margin.
It was cheap to book last minute, so I didn't have high expectations, but this was ridiculous. Golfnow ought to include a basic description or disclaimer whenever a course it that poor. In fact, Golfnow ought to require at least bare minimum standards before advertising a course on their website. La Cita is a complete waste of time and money in its current condition. Avoid at all costs!
FUN LAYOUT
Enjoyed the round at La Cita. The course has a great layout with plenty of doglegs, elevation changes not typical in Brevard county, and some water carries. For the money paid not a bad deal.
Heart breaking
One word to describe it....DISGUSTING!!! I have played here for the last 4 years and each year it gets worse . The course is "UNPLAYABLE" to say the least . I don't like giving bad reviews but this course has one of the nicest layouts that I've ever played ...BUT .....IT'S UNPLAYABLE !!!!
Course is in very poor condition.
Course maintenance poor, greens are patchy, lumpy with tufts of grass. Fairways very dry, little to no grass.
First time was not impressed
Great layout but greens are gone dont think they can be saved fairways are horrible looks like they just ran out of money for maintenance I dont know but the price to play is 15 bucks cheaper than a course with better quality not sure how they can charge that much with the condition its in but who knows
Don’t.
Have played several times. First time this season. Greens, fairways and tee boxes worse than bad. If you don’t mind hitting your second shot from dirt and putting in a trap and a pin ball machine it’s all good. Seriously foursome in front quit 3 holes in. Would wait til someone says they have improved conditions. Not worth it at any price. Good note the pro shop did say course was in really bad shape.
Poor golf
Fairways yellow and Brown no grass, thé Green was horrible
Not Good
Course is in bad shape, carts are ready for the junk yard. From what I was told this course se to be top notch and now it is dire need of of many months of expert care.
Wow. Course has really gone downhill
Ok first of all I hate giving negative reviews. But I was asked so here goes.
First the good stuff. Course layout is beautiful. Lots of water, lots of sand. Nice track. And the price was inexpensive. I have played this course several times and really enjoyed it in the past.
But…this time the greens were absolutely horrible. Like not playable horrible. Weeds all over every one of them. You literally could not putt without a weed knocking it off course. And most had sand. Not hard sand, but soft like in a bunker. So your ball would just stop rolling.
I can get by with tee boxes or fairways that need you to move your ball a bit to find a patch of grass (this course had this as well), but the greens were a joke.
Unfortunately I will not be back unless I read that they have done some serious maintenance to the greens. Too bad because I always loved playing this course until now
Not Worth it
The fact they charge people $45 to play this course is criminal. Course conditions were horrible, took 20 mins to get checked in got my tee time, placed to get water but no water just the cups. First time ever that I ended a round early they wasn’t due to weather.
A Golf Crime
This is a beautifully laid out course designed by Lee Trevino and Ron Gard. You can still see the skeleton of the great design in the elevated greens, calculated water carries, and strategically placed bunkers. Unfortunately it has suffered from total neglect from its owners. The first green was more than 50% sand. Where there was grass it was supplemented by tufts of invaders that diverted your puts. It wasn’t the worse green, some on the back nine had sand so deep it had been raked. Worse course conditions I’ve ever encountered.
I use to like this course
This once was an interesting layout, some elevation changes, variety of hole types, some water...was fun to play. Now the greens are unputtable with standing weeds and sand patches, the fairways rough to ride over and harder to hit off, mostly weeds and bare sand. Unless something major happens, I will not play this course again...too many places to golf with way better conditions. Sorry to see it go down
Don’t bother
The layout of this course is interesting almost every hole is totally different, but they have quit maintaining it. There are weeds growing on the greens putting is like a pinball machine the Fairways you feel like you need an all-terrain vehicle to get through some of them. it’s a great course that they’ve let go so far down that I’m not gonna play there anytime soon as in months or years until the reviews come back way better it’s terrible. Don’t go there.
