Shingle Creek Golf Club

Course was in great shape. Greens were extremely fast. Got lucky and had zero issues with pace of play. Some of the pin positions on the undulating greens were unacceptable considering the firmness and speed. Putt up a hill and it rolls back down or putt 18 inches past hole and end up 40 ft away. The course was nice but not sure it is the best value for $110. Would return but likely not at that rate. Too many $40-80 courses around. Probably paying for the location in Orlando. Friendly staff. Free range balls with tee time.

The female staff member in the club house was super friendly. We will be back for sure.

I had been told if I got a chance to play this course and it was overall everything they said it would be can’t wait to bring more friends I’ll be back great course

My wife and I teed off at noon and were paired with 2 pleasant singles. After 2 holes we caught up with the group in front of us. They were the last group in a large corporate outing. Unfortunately, few if any of players knew how to golf. We waited on every hole. On par 3’s there were up to 4 groups on a hole. The round took well over 5 hours. It’s difficult to enjoy a nice golf course playing at that pace.

Had to wait on every hole behind one or even two groups. Eventually left after 13 holes, buddy playing with me left even earlier after 12th. Will not go back again.

Don't waste your money here. Pace of play very slow took over 5 hours to play. No marshall keeping pace of play going. They allow players under 16 to drive carts. They allow groups of 6 and 8 players to play. .Appear to be only interested in financial gain and not looking after the needs of players

Playing golf in Florida in shorts and a polo is a very special treat. Especially on this golf course. Almost everything was in top condition. And played in just over 4 hours without a cloud in the sky. Hard to top that !!

So I had a great experience at Shingle Creek, I can't say excellent because I dont know that anything can be perfect but they are close. First Valet was great, took care of me and the wife and my clubs. Car was well taken care of too. On to the proshop Susan was absolutely amazing and explained all features and benefits of the Driver Club which was a no brainer really. We signed up and she explained the course and greens which were very very tough. On to the round, the course was in great shape, no complaints, did have a slower group in front of us, but we managed to keep pace most of the round, only getting behind once or twice, but no ranger to speed anyone along that we seen, but it was not terrible, the beverage cart was good. The round I could have done better but had a terrible day, just could not hit the ball, and as open as it is, was not forgiving for me at all. Most likely I just hit the ball that bad LOL. Anyways a grat day of golf, the end since we were close to our tee time, we didn't much time to look so we thought we would look and purchase some stuff at end. So they closed at 6pm and our round because of the group in front of us, we got in about 5:45pm and I know when it time to go its time to go, I had a few things in my hand and the wife did too, to the tune of about 275.00 dollars and was told we close in 5 mins??? I have like 275 dollars I am about to spend with you, and we are still looking? So we stopped purchased what we had but all in all would have most likely at dinner there which was still open or going to be open after the proshop closed, and we would have most likely spent more moeny since the wife was still looking. But intead we paid for what we had and left. Maybe ask next time how much longer we will be and if there are any questions. Instead of just saying we close, that just means to be hurry up I am ready to go? Anyways, this wont stop us we will be back and we will spend more money.

I don’t really write these but a day after my round I still think it’s worth mentioning, was pretty underwhelmed by my experience here. For this time of year the course was in good shape and the layout was decent, but, other than the cart girls, it felt like none of the staff wanted to be there . They were all grumpy and unhelpful, not moving people along on the course when they were watching people a hole and a half behind but more interested in their phone, talking down to patrons, bag boys not very welcoming and giving short non helpful answers to questions in the pro shop.

Very disappointed by the experience, for the price there are better options in central Florida to have to deal with that staff.

Immaculate. Right up there with Sawgrass or something. Amazing. Compared to others of same quality it's a bargain too

They allowed a 5 somesome to golf & it slowed down play quite a bit…no rangers on the course to move them along…other than that, great course!!

First time playing here. Greens were very fast, which is good. Overall conditions were good, except for some wet areas. Finally got to see some alligators on a golf course. However, there weren’t any course marshals or personnel helping to keep pace of play. I understand it’s a resort course, hence it’s relatively relaxed. Regardless, pace of play has to be better.

Everything outside of the course conditions was great. The course was OK at best. Also, they need to keep guests of the resort from walking the golf course. Multiple times there were families walking cart parts, or even one time across a fairway with a small child.

There are better values in the Orlando area for golf. This is convenient for a getaway day round. Full shower facilities open to the public, and the food at the restaurant was outstanding.

Course in pretty good conditions. Greens great shape. Lots of water hazards in play. Would play again
