Bear Creek Golf Club - West Course
About
Conveniently located adjacent to the DFW Airport, Bear Creek Golf Club serves up two Ted Robinson-designed, 18-hole masterpieces that are known for their stunning topography and outstanding greens. And with both golf courses playing around 6,700 yards from the tips, golfers can hit long irons and fairway woods off the tee to keep it in the fairway, which is mandatory for a good round on these tight courses. Bear Creek's West Course is demanding early, and is significantly more difficult on the front side. However, the back side opens up and allows some room for error, making this the track of choice for the high handicapper. Nos. 6 and 7 stand out on the demanding front. No. 6 requires a blind tee shot and an approach over water, and no. 7 might be the most difficult on the golf course: a 380-yard par 4 that plays into the wind and also involves water. The back side has the signature hole, the scenic 180-yard 17th, which plays along a lake.

Greens
The course is in good condition the only thing was the greens were air rated 3 days before so the greens were slow and just a little bumpy. They said they should be prestine in a week
4some All Star trip
Great course. Good price. One mistake. $80 for rental clubs is a bit much. 40-50$ is good. Definitely not great for traveling clients who don't have their clubs. Burned $250 in rentals today. Easy fix. Otherwise offer premium clubs for the 80. Not your only style. Outside of that. Love the course.

Bear Creek East was darn good
Actually played here something like 20 years ago so it was still all new to me. Lots of interesting and challenging holes. Some but few and far between bare spots on the fairways. Greens in excellent condition.
One of the best.
Condition of east course was excellent. Layout is fun and attention getting with trees and back drop. Price point to play this course is outstanding, will plat it again , no doubt.
Great course messed up by slowwww play
Was excited to get a tee time on a holiday weekend. Course in good shape. Amenities and people all good. Slow play made it miserable.
This course was a challenge.
I’m glad that I chose this Bear Creek, out of so many and I will choose it again whenever I visit Irving Texas again. Staff were extremely friendly.
Hidden gem
Took me 24 years to finally get in this course. Played the East course. Very well kept, good pace of play, if you stayed in the fairway , it was a nice track. If you went into the rough, and or trees, you got hammered. . Will definitely play again.
I really like this track
I played the East course for the second time. I really like this track. Not unreasonably difficult, but also challenging and tricky at times
Course is always in great condition
Make the east and west course a part of your normal rotation, you will not be disappointed.
Go Early
Was able to grab the earliest tee time at sunrise and it was glorious. Course was in decent shape and fairly challenging. Watch out for the trees!
Good…just not great
Foremost, Bear Creek is ALWAYS a good play. Pace needs to increase a bit, but not a deal breaker. What impacting rating this time was the grass clippings. To be clear, Mother Nature (rain) is creating a challenge. That said, both the rough was too high (balls just off the fairway tough to find), made worse by piles of clipping from prior mowings. Unlike the Texas heat, this will subside as the get caught up.
The course condition is very good.
It was perfectly well managed. I don't think there will be such a well-managed golf course in the Dallas area.
Not worth the money
Greens are all sand, not a lot of grass anywhere, high grass just off the fairway, not super well maintained.. Not one to post a negative review but for $65 on a Monday morning not worth the money at all at this point. Hope they bring the greens back.
