About
Conveniently located adjacent to the DFW Airport, Bear Creek Golf Club serves up two Ted Robinson-designed, 18-hole masterpieces that are known for their stunning topography and outstanding greens. And with both golf courses playing around 6,700 yards from the tips, golfers can hit long irons and fairway woods off the tee to keep it in the fairway, which is mandatory for a good round on these tight courses. Bear Creek's West Course is demanding early, and is significantly more difficult on the front side. However, the back side opens up and allows some room for error, making this the track of choice for the high handicapper. Nos. 6 and 7 stand out on the demanding front. No. 6 requires a blind tee shot and an approach over water, and no. 7 might be the most difficult on the golf course: a 380-yard par 4 that plays into the wind and also involves water. The back side has the signature hole, the scenic 180-yard 17th, which plays along a lake.

Construction
The current construction at the course is ruining the course. Large parts of holes have no grass, and the greens had a quite a few weeds. I had a worker drive a tractor with a trailer full of dirt right in front of me as I was about to hit.

First time playing here and WOW!! What a truly beautiful golf course!! Will certainly be back and soon!!
Green in terrible condition - overall conditions less than ideal
Good but greens need a lot of work
Every course has its negatives and the greens are it at Bear Creek. Lots of weeds
Mature Trees
Older course with large trees. Very nice layout, not an easy course but also not too difficult.
Great layout
I love playing the west course. Great amount of shot making holes that require to position your tee shots. Not just a grip it and rip it course as you will get in trouble. Course and greens were in very good shape for winter conditions. Would play again.
Good for the money
Decent course. Friendly staff. Pace of play was slow but that’s because the guys I was paired with were older and couldn’t hit much more than 200 yards with a driver.
I’d play again.
Great Course - Sadly
Great course. Incredibly friendly staff that is attentive and helpful. Sadly this course has become overcrowded along with the rest of the good public courses in DFW.
If you’re hoping for a 4 hour round, it’s not going to happen. If you can adjust to 5 hour rounds and have patience for the scourge of Covid-golfers it’s ok.
