Bear Creek Golf Club - West Course
About
Conveniently located adjacent to the DFW Airport, Bear Creek Golf Club serves up two Ted Robinson-designed, 18-hole masterpieces that are known for their stunning topography and outstanding greens. And with both golf courses playing around 6,700 yards from the tips, golfers can hit long irons and fairway woods off the tee to keep it in the fairway, which is mandatory for a good round on these tight courses. Bear Creek's West Course is demanding early, and is significantly more difficult on the front side. However, the back side opens up and allows some room for error, making this the track of choice for the high handicapper. Nos. 6 and 7 stand out on the demanding front. No. 6 requires a blind tee shot and an approach over water, and no. 7 might be the most difficult on the golf course: a 380-yard par 4 that plays into the wind and also involves water. The back side has the signature hole, the scenic 180-yard 17th, which plays along a lake.

Bear Creek just keeps getting worse
2nd time I’ve showed up for a scheduled tee time only to have the course double booking tee times. 6:24am tee time with 5 guys standing there with the same tee time and NO started to figure anything out. 5 other foursomes waiting with tee times every 3 minutes. I will never step foot on the Bear Creek course again! Ridiculous!
Fun and challenging course. Excellent layout with many blind tee shots, helps to have people with you who have played the course before. Will definitely be back!
East Course
have played this course many times, enjoyable, challenging, good pace of play, course in good shape.
we made reservations on Golfnow.com and were supposed to pay $54.95 each, but we each pd $59.95 and we didnt catch it till well into round, so there was no benefit to using Golfnow.com. also there seemed to be only one cart girl for both courses, but that was minor--there was water on the course to drink, and we each had brought our own.
good experience overall, will return sometime, but if using golfnow.com be sure to get your promised rate, they dont seem to be anxious to give it to you
Fun, challenging, course is in great shape
Plenty of interesting and challenging holes. Bunkers not so great but overall, course is in great condition. We played on a Wednesday afternoon, so pace of play was quick. Lots of blind shots, now that we've played the holes we are ready to try it again!
Don’t waste your money
This course is ridiculously busy. Took 30 minutes to play the first hole and got to the second tee to find four groups still on the hole. You can play much better golf courses in the area for the same price.
A Classic That Is Often Overlooked
Played yesterday, and was reminded of what a awesome layout this course is. The conditions are great, pace was excellent. Well worth the discounted fee. Will most definitely be back, ( much sooner than the last visit). Go check one of their two courses out!
Still needs a bit of work
Lots of play so a bit slow and carts were short...Course still coming back from renovations so some tough spots on and around fairways. Little miffed about the senior citizen who was working the range ball machine. Almost ran me over by the back door entrance and said little. Then almost ran into my son between 1st and 2nd hole of West course, flying around the corner with no heed of us. Salty old dude who need remember who he is working for.....
NBMU
Excellent golf course, lot of improvement to speed up playing golf.
Great Day, playing on the 4th
We played on the 4th of July the course was in great condition the staff were very friendly the value of the play was awesome the pace of play was excellent had a great time will definitely come back
Great course conditions!
Greens rolled true and fairways were well maintained. A few of the tee boxes were dry and hard. Needed a hammer to put a tee in the ground. Carts girls came around often. Great round overall!
Hot Day
It was a nice 95 degree day in the Texas heat but we had lots of fun. The course was in very good shape, considering I’d played Hank Haney’s 9 hole course the day before, and the pace of play was smooth. The greens were in pretty good shape and the ballad rolled pretty true. Fairways and tee boxes were also in good conditions as well. Thanks BC staff for a nice round!
Great course
Course was just reopened after renovation. It was worth it. Greens are smooth and rolling. Bunker are good. Soft white sand. Overall good condition
