17th hole par 5 Photo submitted by glovesb on 03/09/2015
Fun Course
This was our first time at BCGC; fun track, not difficult. As this is tucked in the redwood forest, the fairways can be narrow, but they are short, so don't need your driver often.
Lots of par 3s, and the par 4 and 5s are reachable. Fairways were in very good shape, but the tee boxes were a bit beaten up.
But for a great location, perfect warm weather and very friendly staff, it was well worth the drive to play.
Fun course!
All greens, fairways and tee boxes were in great shape but hang on tight when traveling on the cart paths! Actually dangerous in many places.
At the same time, owners are remodeling and sprucing up the place. Maybe they budgeted $$ for the cartpaths!
A very nice play amongst the redwoods
I grew up on this course and it was in the best shape ever. It’s a lot of fun amongst the redwoods, so scenic. It’s a great bargain & you can stop at Scopazzis for a drink or dinner afterwords.
10/10
This is in my top 5. The course is in great shape, I love the layout and it looks fantastic. I highly reccomend this course.
I would recommend this course for a quick game or a day out with the boys. Overall a fairly easy course for an intermediate golfer.
Needs Work
At this time of year the grass does not seem to grow, so the fairways seem short on grass with some bare spots. I always enjoy the course for the scenic beauty and friendly staff. Had a nice round on a cold day.
Consistently good!
Second weekend in a row I played here. Everything was excellent. I will be back! Great course and enjoyable place to spend a few hours. Thanks!
Look elsewhere
Nice staff. Low rate. Poor conditions, old, ugly carts, few amenities, but not crowded.
What a difference!
The first time I played Boulder Creek was last October. The greens were unplayable then. I figured I’d give it one more shot, so I played again yesterday and I was blown away. They have done a tremendous job to fix the greens. The rest of the course was much better maintained too! Now the greens are true and challenging. Lots of break and overall fun! Thank you so much for the hard work that has gone into the course over the past four months. I will definitely come back soon! Also, my “fair” rating for pace of play is a bit misleading. There was a tournament when I played. But the staff in the clubhouse and the marshalls in the course did an amazing job of keeping people moving and accommodating all who played yesterday. Cant do much about slow tourney players. But the management did an excellent job of keeping everyone golfing and happy.
Enjoyed this Round
I've been to Boulder Creek Golf Club several times this winter. John in the Pro Shop s a good guy and he is easy to work with.
The greens are in good shape- improved are the spots from a few months ago- and are nicely trimmed. Bunkers were appropriate. The peaceful quiet of the surrounding redwoods is something to experience.
I assess this course based on the cost and just being reasonable. It isn't Pasatiempo ($175-250) and should be reviewed accordingly. In addition to some of the lengthier par 3's, this course is especially good for working on one's approach game within 100 yards.
Fun executive course
A great challenge for your short game. You’ve got to hit it straight.
Wet
Still shaggy, wet, and cart paths only, but still fun.
Boulder Creek fix your tee boxes!
This is a little gem set in the redwoods in Boulder Creek, CA. Greens are challenging. Course is on the short side and you may only use your driver several times. If there is ONE major complaint I have it’s that course management has never addressed the shoddy tee boxes.
Gem of a course!
Fun, laid back and super good deal. Best value in the area. Narrow and challenging course, a little short but very fun.
I would not play course again
Went to play boulder creek for first time with two friends and I was disappointed in the fact that I booked tee time for 730 showed up at 7 and clubhouse was closed couldn't check in the guy showed up around 730 to open clubhouse was very slow and unprepared , for it being a golf course I would call that being unprofessional second of all greens were not maintained well at all except for one good green .... if possible I would love to get a refund for my round of golf Had Higher Expectations for Boulder Creek sadly it wasn't what we expected .
