The Country Club at Soboba Springs
About
Soboba Springs Golf Course was founded in 2004 when the Luiseno Indians purchased the property. It had long been a dream of the tribal leaders to own this golf course, which borders their reservation. The tribe's leaders hired Cary Bickler, a disciple of the course's original designer, Desmond Muirhead, to update the layout and pave the way for it to once again be one of southern California's premier golfing destinations. The renovation included the addition of 25 new bunkers, a lengthening of the back tees and shortening of the forward tees by almost 1,000 yards to make it more approachable for the less experienced player. The Augusta-white sand that fills Soboba Springs' bunkers provides a stunning contrast to the lush greens. Water also comes into play throughout the golf course in the form of meandering streams and cascading waterfalls.

Had a great time. Looking forward to getting back on the course.
Back on the map
theyve redesigned the back nine, new carts with awesome GPS
Soboba never better!
Used to play here a lot, bit of a drive for us but it's always been a good course. Hadn't been there for awhile, heard it was undergoing some renovations and the Casino Resort was being built. Played there friday. The course is in excellent shape. Like the removal of the #13 par three, (old #4) hated that hole, it didn't like me either. The change they made from #16 to making it #15 and changing it from a dog leg right par five around the lake now to a new slight dog leg left with an all new green is very nice, then adding a brand new Par 3 as #16. The remaining older holes and design all seemed to have been tightened up, new sand in bunkers and definately well manicured fairways, deep rough and the greens were nice, smooth and quick. Needless to say, Soboba is back on our play list.
Awesome course
Had a great time staff was very friendly and helpful. Greens were fast and challenging fairways are well maintained could have the ruffs shorter lost a couple of balls but not to bad. Will play there again soon very enjoyable have to be up on your game.
Great conditions
This was my first time playing this course, by far it was the best I have played at. I have played here, Tukwet, Glen Ivy, Sierra Lakes and otheRS.
Great course but 5 some ruined it
This course was great. My buddy and I kept saying why haven’t we played here before. The course was in great shape. They take really good care of it. The lay out was fun and long. We definitely challenged ourselves with the overall length. A few of their par 4s were as long as some of the par 5s we play on other courses. The part that ruined it for us was a 5 some that was in front of us and wouldn’t let us get ahead of them. They were playing so slow that you couldn’t see a group in front of them. We’d wait at least 10 minutes between shots.
A Great Day
I hadn't played this course since they had the holes configured for hotel construction. What a gem! The greens were soft and putted true ( had 3 birdies).
In a nutshell...I Will be back! Couldnt spend any money inthe pro shop...I dont but callaway products.
A great day!
Great Value
First time playing course, and was impressed with the layout and greens. Par 3's are all tour-length, as are the Par 5's. Fairways are wide and pretty forgiving. If you can hit your long irons, you'll have a great round. Great views of the mountains.
Ummmm (speechless)
Wow... I paid a GolfNow hot deal $25, included a cart. This is a gem, it’s in phenomenal shape, if it weren’t for the location this course would cost $75-$100 easy. Cary Bickler has done it again, along with Encinitas Ranch, his designs are playable and fair, but with enough challenges to keep it interesting. Do me a favor, don’t play here, I really enjoyed my $25 round in under 3 hours.
Fun course
We had a good time today. The course was in great shape and the weather was perfect.
We will definitely be returning there and probably bringing friends.
Nice Layout/Slow Greens
I played the course for the first time and it’s a nice layout. They aerified the greens a few weeks ago and I assumed they would be in a tad better condition. They were still a bit slow and bumpy. Literally couldn’t hit putt hard enough and keep it online.
But overall it was a good experience and great pace of play. Played in under 3 1/2 hours.
Bad counter customer service
Loved the course. The man behind the desk was extremely rude and needs training in customer service. My golfing buddy and me were both scolded by him for booking on Golf Now and we were told if we ever did it again, he would he would not give the senior discount. I use Golf Now almost exclusively booking my tee times and never had a course threaten to deny a senior rate I kidded back and said how do you know I’m a senior, and his responds was “don’t kid yourself”. The on course employees were very friendly and helpful. I hoping this does not fall on deaf ears and someone can train the behind counter employee.
Thanks You
Superbe journée !
Nous étions 8 joueurs et tous ont été unanimes : très beau parcours et excellentes conditions de jeu, personnel accueillant et à notre écoute. Beautiful day at this Country Club, nice people...thank you so much !!!
The course was in excellent condition. Sand traps were pure white fluffy sand. Very scenic view of the mountains.
Great golf course. First time playing this.
It was a pleasant surprise. Very picturesque, nicely landscaped. Only negative was the slow play. Great value for the cost. Enjoyable and challenging, Would play it again sometime.
Love the changes
Haven’t played here for about 5 years and really enjoyed the new layout with some spectacular, scenic holes. Tee’d off at 11:30 and pretty much had the course to ourselves. Will be back.
Great experience.
Very good greens, very bad fairways, long rough , exceptional layout for 15 holes. The three new holes that were put in near the casino are fine but they don’t fit with the rest of the course in anyway. It’s actually shocking how misfit they are. Great test of driving on this course.. is a beast at 7300 !
A Gem in the Desert
This course has been redesigned and is so much more fun than the Resort/PGA west Courses. Very forgiving course but still some good water holes. Greens were in excellent condition; Fairways were so so but fine. Some good long par 5’s and good landing area for drives. Great place to go to get out of the wind.
great day of golf
Best conditioned of local courses following very rainy past two weeks; amazingly smooth, fast greens. No standing water in fairways or traps! Pace of play: 4hrs w/carts for a 3-some. $45 greens fees on Golfnow hot deal.
