Bonaventure Golf Club

The course was over crowded. It took 5 hours to play. They ran out of carts so we started later than our tee time. Conditions weren’t bad. Fairways and greens are overseeded, so there is a big difference between those and the rest of the playing area. Greens are very small. Overall, a bit overpriced for how slow it played and not being in great condition.

first time out here, confusion on first tee, another group said they had same tee time as us, no starter there, so we went ahead of them. Group in front of us had 3 teenagers and dad, all trying to play from blue tees but obvious beginners at best, flubbing shot after shot, saw them lose at least 30 to 40 balls. Lots of water and was windy so challenging, did not expect tiny greens, missed couple times by few yards only to find ball off green on hardpan lie or stoney bunker. No marshalls out. There are better shape courses for same price out there, so will not be coming back. Finished in 4h:45 time, waited on every teebox, and we were 4 players. Have nice picture from tee box on 3rd hole with nice waterfall in background up by front of green. was one memorable hole.

Was first golfer out so pace of play hard to say. The course needs some TLC. The greens weren’t awful (I’ve seen worse) the sand traps were raked and had fresh sand in them but the edges were shot. The fairways are beat. Tee boxes weren’t best weren’t the worst I’ve played either. Pro shop is weak. In a pinch it’s a playable course. Other places available at same price

It is a nice course however it has slow play times in the morning due to overbooking and 6 person play times. Best to play in the afternoon if you want to get through the 18 holes at a reasonable pace.

Good layout with plenty of water. The course provides plenty of challenges to weekend golfers.

The conditions of the course improve a lot. It would be much better if they made the greens smoother and mowed the grass shorter to make them roll faster. Overall, it's a very playable course.

Challenging course in good shape. Greens rolling true. Range is basically a lake so no way to dial in distances but good value overall.

After not playing the course for more than 20 years, we began playing it about a month ago. It is in tremendous shape and it is a challenging test of Golf. My only availability is a Saturday afternoon, and even though it is high season here in South Florida for golf, the course does not have a ranger on it. Monitoring pace of play teeing off at 1:07 one would not think they would have trouble finishing their round but we literally finished in the dark at 6:30. Three groups on every hole people that are beginning golfers playing a difficult course and then there’s the etiquette of people that are not from South Florida that just do whatever they want not keeping in mind that there are people behind them. It is a great value for the money, but they need to do a better job of monitoring the pace of play out on the course it was a little frustrating.

If it wasn’t for the extremely slow pace of play, it would be a great course to play frequently. Staff is friendly, course has great layout and greens, tees and fairways are in good condition.

Bonaventure… Much improved golf course… Very competitive ..massive water on almost every hole the best I’ve seen it in the 10 years I’ve been coming here.. definitely worth the trip from Fort Lauderdale

Overall the course is in good condition. Even if we played in 4hrs15mts. the foursome in front of us was slow as two holes were opened in front of them. In order to avoid this type of situation the presence of a Marshall would be beneficial.

Played here many times over the years and I've seen its ups and downs. Course is in better shape , greens rolling true and in good shape . Pace of play on President's Day was very slow. Ranger didn't seem to be helpful. Cartgirl was no where to be found until 2 hours into the round. Overall for the price, it's a decent value. Keep it up and just improve on the pace of play and service.

Pleasantly surprised. Greens and fairways were good. Layout was excellent. Pace of play was good, a little over 4hrs. For the price this course is above average. I would definitely play it again.
